AER1 Filter SeriesAER1 Filter Series Why AER1? AER1 filters are proven to be 30% more effective at capturing dust and airborne particles from air passing through the filter. Deliver the HIGHEST CADR CLEANING POWER amongst leading brands. Helps optimize air cleaning performance – simply by replacing your aer1 filter regularly. Customized effectiveness to your needs – dust, odor and allergen.

Why Purify Air?

We eat organic food, drink filtered water and clean with anti-bacterial products. What about the air you and your family breathe? Indoor air may be up to 5 times more polluted than outdoor air, according to the EPA. Americans spend an estimated 90 percent of their time indoors. Most pollutants are microscopic and can easily pass through the nose or throat directly into the lungs. The good news is … you can help protect yourself and your family from indoor air pollution.

AER1 System AdvantageAER1 System Advantage

AER1 System Advantage

AER1 disposable filters trap and lock up to 99.97% of dust and other harmful airborne allergens before they settle in your home. Breathe cleaner, fresher indoor air with the AER1 system, guaranteed to dramatically improve home air quality.

AER1 TOTAL AIR Filter

The AER1 Total Air Filter is ideal for any room in your house, as it reduces the need to dust and vacuum often. It uses a HEPA-Type technology that removes up to 99% of airborne pollutants. It successfully traps and lock 30% more dust particles from your home, leaving you with an overall fresher cleaner living space.

When to Replace Your Filter?

HEPA filter needs to be replaced every 12-18 months depending on usage. This filter requires no cleaning – simply toss your dirty filter into the garbage. Cleaning permanent filters can be a dirty process of hard-to-reach crevices, and it releases dust into the air that you can breathe in. See chart below for AER1 Filter types depending on your home environment.

    Very Good Product
It works great! What more can I say? I use to absorb cat box odor and dust. It does the job. Fantastic. Just wish they were cheaper. lol

Still working in 2024! Great for small spaces.
I used the filter in my small salon suite while performing nail services. I was getting dry burning eyes because of the fume exposure from acetone and Gel Polish. It was also nice to have when I was performing pedicures from all of the dust from filing. The filter was great at removing the airborne particles. I would also let it run when I left the room with the door shut and come back to an odor free suite. As for home use, I keep it running in my bedroom, especially at night, knowing I am breathing in much cleaner air.I applied a strong peppermint essential oil to a tissue and placed it on the intake side of the unit to test the ability of odor filtering. I was happy to note that there was absolutely no smell present in the output. I sometimes turn it around when its stuffy so the air being exhausted blows on me, like a fan. Great filter!Jan 21, 2024 update:The light went out indicating the ionizer is on, so not really sure if that feature is working or not. The unit itself is still working great. When I dust, I tap my duster to the front and let it clean my duster as I go around stirring everything up and then let it run for a few hours in the room. So I burn through the filters pretty fast. But the machine itself is still working fine!

Works great, move a lot of air
I like this filter, I use it as a secondary filter for some white noise when I’m sleeping.I’ve been surprised how much additional filtering this little filter is doing in addition to my main filter. A couple of things to keep in mind. One, this is a “HEPA type” filter which means it is not true HEPA and won’t filter the smallest particles from the air. That’s OK, not every filter has to be true HEPA; though you may want to have a main filter that is true HEPA in addition to this one, this filter is more of a secondary filter to support a main filter. Two, because it’s a lower level filter it will move more air more quickly and will actually wind up needing to be replaced more frequently than a true HEPA filter. Keep an eye on it, once it begins to turn dark it needs to be replaced. Fortunately these “HEPA type” filters are pretty inexpensive. I’d much rather spend a few bucks every few months than breath in the black stuff getting captured in this filter.

    These are the good ones
I have bought a lot of these. Sure, they are more expensive than the cheap ones you see for sale but really, having tried the cheap ones and these I have to go with these. They are thicker and catch more dust and last longer and, like basically everything that isn’t just cheap, they are better. But hey if you are the kind of person who would say that the running shoes at Wal Mart or Target are just as good as those name brand running shoes that sell for a hundred bucks then by all means buy the cheap air filters. I am not that guy.

Filters work great, but the replacement times are different (can be confusing), and uses are different
Was looking for replacement filters for my older Holmes Fan/Air Purifier. Originally it came with “Type A” filters, but Holmes has since upgraded to their AER1 line. I had trouble deciding on a type, as I was confused why, of all the options, it seemed like some of the filters did the same things but for different prices. One BIG DIFFERENCE I discovered after ordering these filters, is that the recommended replacement time is different for these filters:4-month replacement: Odor Eliminator, Smoke Grabber, Total12-month replacement: Allergy (Allergen Remover), Allergy “Performance Plus”There are other distinct differences which I found very hard to locate:– all the 4-month replacement filters seem to have 99% filter strength,– the 4-month replacement filters are HEPA-type filters (not authentic certified, just very similar)– the 12-month filters (allergen remover & performance plus) filter 99.97% and 99.99% of allergens, respectively,– the 12-month filters are True HEPA filters,– the Odor & Smoke filters seem to have carbon and Zeolite infusion,Most all of the filters are going to filter the same things, the difference is just “how good” you want the filter to be, and what you want to filter:– debris and allergens — pollen, dust, debris, dust mite debris, mold, pet dander, smoke, VOCs (like cleaning product chemicals in the air).– odors — tobacco smoke odors, pet odors, dirty laundry odors, and cooking fumes. If I were to rank the “strength” of the filtering ability, I would rank them the following way (with “5” being the “strongest” filter):(1) Total Air,(2) Odor Eliminator,(3) Smoke Grabber,(4) Allergen Remover,(5) Allergy “Performance Plus”—> But it is worth noting that the “Smoke Grabber” and “Allergen Remover” filters do not include Arm & Hammer infusion, and the “Allergen Remover” filter also does not claim to “reduce odors from pets, tobacco smoke, cooking fumes and other unpleasant household odors”.For me, the Odor Eliminator was the cheapest filter (currently $8.99 for a pack of 2), and I didn’t have any huge specific needs to filter one thing more strongly than another (like allergies, odors, or fumes), so I just got the basic filters to keep my air clean. However, knowing that the Performance Plus needs to be replaced only every 12 months, it would have made sense to get that for $18.99 for a pack of 2…

La diferencia con el morado es la falta del carbon activado especial que dura un año (el morado), pero por este precio no se desprecia, al cabo que el carbon activado se puede comprar como prefiltro con un costo muy económico.

These filters work wonders during the summer time. We leave the air purifier running 24/7 year around and when you look at what these filters can pick up, you’re tempted to buy even more filter and air purifiers!

The quality of these filters is just amazing. I actually just looked and looked at the fantastic build quality it was so good .. and the details; well engineered. I was happy with the delivery time (they sent a notice they were running behind schedule — but very good still); and the packaging allowed them to arrive in perfect shape. This one works in my older machine!! This is important to people, as I was told there was no “OEM” filters made anymore, and saw many people with the same assumption tossing their machines out. This one fits PERFECTLY .. actually better than the cardboard ones that I was using.VERY MUCH RECOMMENDED.
