This Gevi Vacuum is pulling more dirt out of our carpets than our Dyson or Roomba vacuums
We previously had three vacuums in our house. A Roomba S9, a Dyson V6 cordless stick vacuum and an older Dyson full upright plug-in that the motorhead is wearing out and parts are not available. This new Gevi model SVCG0 has more suction than any of these.
When I got this vacuum I was impressed with the quality of build. Its parts are made of a high impact plastic material and aluminum. It is built well and has held up to a month of torture we have given it so far.
After charging, I tested it out on a rug in my garage that I had deliberately let get filthy from foot traffic. The amount of suction this vacuum had on high was amazing and the motorized brush on the head of the unit really freed up the dirt deep in the rug. I had to shoot slow-motion for my video where you can see the sand being sucked in.
Afterwards, I tried it on our upstairs carpet where our Roomba s9 cleans regularly. I ran the Gevi on high and it filled up the cup with debris even though the carpet was recently vacuumed. I did notice the powerful suction did decline slightly after the bin was nearing full or the battery was wearing down.
During my test, the vacuum ran on HIGH for just over twenty minutes before shutting off. However I typically use the vacuum on medium. I have to set the vacuum to this level each time I turn it on as it doesn’t retain the last setting. However you do not have to hold the trigger to make the vacuum run, it instead works as an on-off switch with a tap.
I began to see how easy was this Gevi to clean and maintain. I discovered the motorhead roller pops out with a simple button pull and the debris bin is easy to empty. I pulled out the filters which consist of three parts a screen, a sponge and then a HEPA filter. These were dirty after such intense cleaning so I fully cleaned the bin and filters. I found a compartment in the bin that was virtually impossible to clean, however it would not affect the function of the vacuum, but the dirty area showed from the outside of the clear compartment.
One of my concerns was I was unable to find filters and parts to fit this model anywhere, so I reached out to Gevi customer service and they responded back in 24 hours informing me these parts would be showing up in January which is only a few weeks away. I see they do sell parts to their other models, so I feel confident they will have them.
This Gevi vacuum shows a price of $299, I think this is high for this model, but I would definitely suggest picking it up for closer to $200. It is a high power vacuum with lots of conveniences.

Best For Hardwood / Non-Carpet Floors
This unit arrives in a very compact box, although it is very well packed. This model is reminiscent of a Shark brand ultra portable, cordless vac. It comes with a single battery, and upon immediate use it had an available charge of 25%, which was clearly displayed on the vacuum handle / motor piece. The kit includes a wall attachment piece that allows the unit to securely suspend in place, while charging. Charging takes 1-3 hours. The design is intuitive where the instruction manual was not needed for assembly, nor use. However, a small manual was included. Access to the debris collection cup is easy, as well as disposal. Two attachments are included, and they seem decently made, however their body is not as densely made as name brands. Furthermore, the hand brush attachement feels as the bristles could easily warp out of shape with too much pressure. Moreover, I feel more bristles could have been applied as well. Lastly, and one of the most important points, the floor attachment at first seems to be a motorized powerhead. However, upon attempting to use on a rug or carpet floor, it is a challenge to push and pull. The bristle brush rotates to pick up debris, however this is done via the suction power of the unit. It is, unfortunately, a non-powerhead floor cleaner. Yet, it easily glides and very effectively cleans over smooth floor types. It has wonderful suction power. Overall, it is a very nice vacuum for quick cleanups on non-carpet floors. Unless you’re seeking a challenging upper body workout, steer clear from attempting to use this unit on rugs and such.

Love this thing!
My only issue I would it would attach to wall a little thinner so I could fit it in a thin closet. And the attachments can be tricky to take off an on. But the ease of use, battery life, and how much this things sucks up makes it all worth it. The canister is easy to empty as well. It does suck on throw carpets a little too much but for the most we use this on bare floors, walls, and hard to reach areas and it does amazing!
