Replace filters & belt = Vacuum is like new
Iâve had my Windtunnel UH70120 for almost three years now. Over the last few weeks, I noticed a burning smell when the vacuum was turned on and was worried that the filters where clogged and the motor was starting to burn out. After finding the user manual online, I saw that one of the common problems was a âsmoky/burning smellâ and the solution was a new belt. The smell seemed to come from inside the unit (even with my nose right by the belt), so I was a bit skeptical that a replacement belt and filters would work.Hoping to keep another plastic vacuum cleaner out of a landfill, I ordered the washable filter/Hepa filter kit and new agitator belts. Astonishingly, everything worked and fit perfectly. Seriously, the thing now performs like new.- Rinsable filter: Fits perfect and works great. Nice.- Hepa filter: There are quite a few comments saying that this part doesnât fit correctly. I had no problems at all. The Hepa information is printed on the front so it looks exactly like the original, genuine part. I did have to give it a small wack to push it all the way in, but it fits perfectly.- Agitator Belt: When you replace your old belt youâll notice how much it has stretched compared to the new one. Youâll need to stretch the new one as you put the brushroll back on, so a few ladies out there might want an extra hand with that. The best thing⦠No more burnt smell! Woohoo! Problem solved.Overall, each of these replacement parts fit and work like new. Keep these items in good working order and youâll love your vacuum again.

Brought discarded vacuum back to life
I found the whole vacuum discarded at our transfer station, and to me it looked as though it just needed a tune-up after obviously being neglected. I was right–it needed a complete and thorough cleaning, removal of threads and scrap from the powered brush, and replacement of both the HEPA filter and the washable prefilter that apparently had never been serviced. No wonder someone discarded this vacuum; but all it needed was a cleaning and routine maintenance and filter changes. Both filters came as a “kit” and were simple to install. Vacuum runs good-as-new again, strong suction and powered brush fully functional and full speed.

Great Replacement, Better Than Original Filter
This replacement filter was the exact one I needed to fit my vacuum. The original filter that came with the vacuum had the rubber break off and split from the filter. This caused the filter to not create a proper seal against the vacuum causing an annoying noise and letting un-filtered air get through to the motor.I have been using the new filter for about 10 months and it works great. I just hope it doesn’t suffer from the same problem as the original filter but it seems like this replacement filter is built betting that the one that came with my Hoover vacuum.

Good First Impression
I purchased this for my Hoover WindTunnel Rewind Plus Bagless Upright, model #UH70241.Prior to making the purchase of this product, Iâd recommend trying to wash your primary filter first to see that would fix your suction issue.I had noticed the very poor suction of my vacuum, it wouldnât even turn the air powered turbo hand tool attachment. After installing both my vacuum has a new lease on life.The product includes the (1) upper primary filter (model# 303173002, also replaces part# 303173001) and (2) lower HEPA filter (model# 440013493/other ref# is CH53010), both fit just fine. The plastic bag it came in had âgenuineâ printed on it.The HEPA filter I received did not include the black mesh pre-filter piece (marketed as âactivated carbon filterâ) that was present on the original it replaced. I rinsed the original under the tap and reinstalled it.Note as of July 2023, the primary filter is still sold directly on Hooverâs website, but the HEPA filter is not.

Good replacements for my Hoover Pet WindTunnel
I bought these after discovering our HEPA filter was basically a giant hair mat. I tried to pull of our dogs hair from it, but I think I had let it go for too many years (I never thought to look at it). The vacuum seems to have way more suction power now that I have replaced both filters. This shouldn’t be surprising, but I guess I didn’t realize how dirty the washable one was even though I had washed it. Great value to keep your vacuum humming along and performing as expected.

Nice to know these are replacable. The rubber seal on old filter was coming apart and was resulting in a whistling sound when vacum was on.
