Long lasting battery
I like that this is easy on my hands. It is lightweight and the batter has a very long charge. It picks up well on flat surfaces as well as rugs.I took 2 stars off because it is very hard to control the brush head. It sort of just twists and turns as you push the vacuum making it difficult to get into certain areas. The dirt canister although it is small, holds a decent amount BUT it is difficult to empty. I end up having to take it apart from the top of the canister to dump out.It came with a wall mount but the vacuum itself does not lock in an upright position making it difficult to remove the dirt canister to empty as I move from room to room.

A light-weight full featured vacuum for regular cleaning
This review is really a comparison of this vacuum cleaner with our Dyson V10.To start with the V10 has a much more powerful motor but that may not be an advantage. The V10 also has a larger canister and a bigger battery. Since the V10 uses so much more power the battery lasts about the same time as with the FirstLove.First off this vacuum is much lighter. The various accessories fit into their connectors much more easily than on the V10 where it is sometimes a struggle to get them out.The trigger starts the motor then you can leave it alone until you’re done. The V10 must be held on all the time. That gets tiresome.The second speed is selected by a button near the trigger which also reverts the motor back to the first speed. The V10 has three speed settings on top of the canister. The V10’s middle speed is really the only useful one for regular cleaning. The lowest speed just moves stuff around and the highest speed will lift your broadloom right off its tack strips.The battery on the FirstLove is very easy to take out and can be charged away from the vacuum cleaner. This means you can get a second battery, keep it charged and swap it in when the first battery runs out. The V10’s battery is screwed into its body and can only be charged through the body. The V10’s battery can be changed but only by unscrewing with a jeweler’s screwdriver three small screws.The Hepa filter on the FirstLove is washable as is the V10’s but you get a second filter so when you wash it you can put the second one in immediately and continue cleaning. Not so with the V10. Its filter requires at least 24 hours to dry out and if not completely dry the V10 sense it and pulses instead of running the vacuum.The FirstLove beater head has three led lights that are really useful for dark places. There is nothing on the beater head of the V10. Speaking of beater heads, I’ve found the FirstLove’s head will pick up particles at both speeds whereas the V10’s only seems to push particles around at low and middle speeds and requires high speed to really pick them up. It seems the V10’s beater spins faster than the vacuum can suck at lower speeds.It’s clear that the larger cannister and more powerful suction of the V10 will outperform the FirstLove when there is really deeply ground in dirt but definitely not for regular cleaning. Running out of battery power and having to wait 3-4 hours for a recharge, cleaning the Hepa filter and having to wait 24+ hours before the vacuum cleaner will run again really disadvantages the V10 which costs over 4 times as much.The two floor pics are before and after using the FirstLove on carpet with visiting granddoggy hair.
