An Impressive Cleaning Machine with Some Caveats
I’ve had the chance to put the Eufy S1 with All-in-One Station through its paces, and overall, I’m impressed with the results. This floor washing robot vacuum and mop combo promises a lot: 8,000 Pa of suction power, advanced smart obstacle avoidance, multi-level mapping, and automatic mop retraction, all of which should make keeping floors spotless easier than ever. Hereâs my detailed experience and thoughts.Setup Experience: A Bumpy Start but Worth ItThe initial setup was slightly frustrating. When I first tried to pair the Eufy S1 with the app, I couldnât find the S1 as a selectable option. It was a bit perplexing, and I spent some time troubleshooting before ultimately deciding to wait it out. A few days later, when I revisited the app, the S1 appeared as an option, and from there, everything was smooth sailing. The setup process was incredibly user-friendly, and the device connected seamlessly. So while the initial hiccup wasnât ideal, once I got past it, I had no further issues.Design and Build: Bulky But SophisticatedThe first thing I noticed once everything was up and running was the size of the base station. Itâs considerably larger than I expected, which might be something to consider if youâre tight on space. That said, the larger size does seem to come with benefits, as the base station houses the self-cleaning and emptying mechanisms, and it makes water refilling and dirty water disposal easy to manage. The design feels high-end and well-constructed, with a clean, minimalistic look that fits nicely in most homes despite its size.Cleaning Performance: Exceeds ExpectationsPerformance-wise, the Eufy S1 is truly impressive. Iâve tested various robot vacuums and mops before, and this one stands out. The vacuum’s 8,000 Pa suction is powerful enough to pick up everything from fine dust to larger debris. The mopping function is equally impressive. The floors genuinely feel clean after the S1 does its thing. The mop auto-retraction feature is a game-changer. It retracts when the vacuum detects carpeted areas, so I donât have to worry about wet carpets. This feature has given me peace of mind, as I know the device is intelligently adjusting to different floor types in my home.Obstacle Avoidance and Navigation: Smart and EffectiveOne of the standout features is the smart obstacle avoidance. Iâve put it to the test with various obstacles, like cables, towels, and random objects on the floor, and the S1 consistently avoided them with precision. Itâs reassuring to see the robot maneuver so carefully around potential hazards, and I havenât had any incidents of it getting stuck or knocking things over. While I donât own the S1 Pro, I understand it has a more advanced obstacle avoidance system, but honestly, the S1 does an excellent job on its own, and I canât imagine the Pro version performing dramatically better in this regard.Comparisons and Limitations: Worth the Investment? For comparison, Iâve been using a Roomba i8+ and a Eufy RoboVac 25C. Between those two, the i8+ is far superior to the 25C in terms of navigation, cleaning power, and overall functionality. However, the Eufy S1 surpasses even the i8+ by a considerable margin. The S1âs ability to vacuum and mop simultaneously, coupled with its strong suction and advanced navigation, makes it a game-changer in the robotic cleaning world. If you’re used to older or less advanced models, the S1 will feel like a major upgrade. One of the few things Iâm not thrilled about is being limited to Eufyâs proprietary floor cleaning solution. While itâs understandable from a maintenance perspectiveâperhaps to ensure the longevity of the mop systemâitâs still a bit annoying. I prefer having the freedom to use different cleaning solutions, especially when it comes to choosing eco-friendly or budget-friendly options. Nevertheless, if youâre willing to stick with Eufyâs solution, itâs a small price to pay for such an effective cleaning device.Differences Between the S1 and S1 Pro: What Really Matters?Eufy provides a helpful chart comparing the S1 and S1 Pro, and I did a fair amount of research to understand the differences. The S1 lacks the Eco-Clean Ozone feature, the LCD Touch Control, and has slightly different obstacle avoidance technology. For me, the absence of Eco-Clean Ozone isnât a big deal. I regularly replace the water in the tank, so I donât feel the need for an ozone-based cleaning system. The LCD Touch Control is another feature I donât missâIâm more than happy to use the app for scheduling and programming. I prefer a set-it-and-forget-it approach, where the robot quietly does its job without needing constant attention. The only feature Iâm curious about is the obstacle avoidance difference. While I havenât used the S1 Pro, Iâd love to see if the upgraded tech really makes a noticeable difference. Even so, the S1 performs so well in my experience that I have no complaints about its ability to navigate and avoid obstacles.Final Thoughts: A Smart Investment for Clean Floor EnthusiastsOverall, the Eufy S1 All-in-One Station Floor Washing Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo has made a significant difference in how clean my floors feel. Itâs efficient, powerful, and intelligently designed. If youâre someone who values pristine floors and doesnât mind investing in a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo, the S1 is a fantastic choice. The setup process has a minor learning curve, and the size of the base station may be a consideration, but these are small trade-offs for what you get in return. In the end, if youâve got the budget and want a high-performing robot that simplifies floor cleaning, the Eufy S1 is likely a worthwhile investment. It performs really well and is a reliable option for keeping your home looking spotless.

the best on the market!
I have been needing a robot vacuum for the longest time since mine died. I’ve been hesitant to spend so much money on one and luckily, got this one to try out. I am in love! This eufy vacuum is simply the best on the market, let me tell you why. The system is way too smart. You download an app to connect it. It was a bit tricky to find out where to download. You need to look on the box for the QR code or open up the top of the vacuum for one. It connects very easily. You can set the robot to map out your house. It will scan the entire house on each floor and memorize it. The best thing about this robot? It does NOT bump into anything while it works, wow! My old vacuum would bump and you’d hear it thud loudly. This eufy one is so great. It has the ability to read if it’s working on rug, carpets or bare floors. It will switch out the brushes while it vacuums to ensure it’s picking up the maximum amount of dirt. The noise level is alright. It is not quiet but it is not loud either. You just continue on without really paying attention to it. It has such a powerful suction when vacuuming. Its brush will reach out without the actual vacuum hitting corners or sides. Also, if you use the mopping feature, behold your amazement. If your mopping feature is on, when it reaches rugs or carpets, it will know to shut off the water so that you don’t get everything wet! How amazing. Then, it knows to go back to its station to dump the dirty water and get clean water to continue its job. I just can’t believe this product. It is so carefully thought out. The price is very high but given what it does, it surely is worth it! It is comparable to others on the market, for sure. I highly recommend this product.

Made my life easier and my house cleaner
I’ve been using the Eufy S1 for about a week now, and it’s become sort of a family pet. My house is cleaner! I feel like I’m working less! I definitely give this robo-vac/mop 5 stars, though there are a few things to be aware of.Pros:- Wonderful job avoiding carpets — the AI on this unit is top notch. It knows the difference between my high density foam kitchen mats and my ultra-low pile rugs, washing the former and diligently stopping all water about 2 inches away from the fabrics- Excellent mopping — along with the AI that tells it where to mop, the Eufy S1 leaves only the faintest sheen of water on my hardwood floors — while picking up a LOT of dirt! No puddles!!!- Off-road capabilities — it’s amazing: it can get over floor mat edges, rug edges — even bumps and mountains in the rug under my computer chair.- The AI maps up to 5 floor plans, and auto-separates rooms, but you can further adjust and rename rooms- Fully customizable cleaning protocols can be scheduled to occur automaticallyCons:- The app is very very difficult to navigate. For such an amazing and advanced machine, you’d hope that the menu system would be significantly more intuitive. Several times I’ve wanted to adjust a schedule and ended up turning on a mopping cycle that is difficult to get out of- This machine is not maintenance free. You do need to stay on top of cleaning the rollers, replacing the vacuum bags, etc. The parts kits for this upkeep are a considerable and on-going expense. On the plus side, the system keeps track of the estimated hours certain parts should last, and can warn you when it’s time to replace them. After being used to the dump-and-go lack of upkeep on my Dyson, this is a bit dauntingOverall, though, Eufy is here to stay in my house. A huge labor saver, even with the upkeep.

My wife and I are both senior at 76, mopping and vacuuming floor are tasks we both dread. We are so happy to find a solution using this eufy S1 floor mopping and vacuuming robot. I wonder why it took us so long to embrace this state-of-the-art AI floor cleaning robot technology. It looks intimidating at first to unbox the S1 robot, there is no instruction manual included! But don’t panic, the quick start instructions are shown on the packaging box as well as the QR code which you can download a full 21 page instruction manual. Also, there are instructional videos you can watch in the eufy website for getting started, maintenance and questions and answers. Here are the procedures I used to get started:- Install the brushes, fill water tank and insert floor cleaning solution cartridge.- Download the eufy Clean app to my iPhone and follow instructions to pair iPhone with the S1 robot.- Start the app to map the floor area and create zones for mopping and vacuuming, multiple floors can be mapped in the app.- Start vacuuming only the whole house for the first run to work out areas where the robot missed or to avoid, used the editing function in the app to make any adjustments.- Start the vacuuming and mopping cycle.- Enjoy the clean floors. Please watch my video review.I like the high quality design and construction in which eufy has engineered the S1 with meticulous details to make operating and maintenance with ease. I like the eufy cleaning app to customize cleaning each room and to create a cleaning schedule. I like the LED lights and the voice prompt to confirm the starting and completion of a cleaning cycle. I like the eufy clean app can be linked to the Alexa app for controlling the S1 starting, pausing and return home using voice commend through Amazon Echo Show and Echo Dot. I like the shinny clean kitchen floor after the mopping. I also like all the accessories for the eufy S1 can be ordered through Amazon with next day shipping. My only dislike is the S1 robot does not clean 90 degrees corner well, its rotating brushes are not extended far enough to clean stubborn dirt in the corner and the wet mop cannot scrub into the corner. This is not a big deal for me, I can do touchup cleaning easily with a handheld vacuum. This eufy S1 floor cleaning robot will fit into any busy house whole and convert house cleaning time into leisure time. The eufy S1 is premium priced but now on sale at 30% off, an excellent deal considering the full feature house cleaning robot with AI technology. I highly recommend this eufy S1 floor washing and vacuuming robot.

The eufy S1 has been an very welcome addition to our home. It is packed with advanced features and the combination of the vacuum and mop delivers a effortless floor cleaning experience. Here’s a breakdown of my impressions after using it extensively:Pros- Effective vacuuming of floors. The vacuumâs square design, push out brush heads and good suction does an amazing job at picking up dry dirt, dust and debris. The design allows it to pick up dust from corners and edges with ease. The relatively short height of the vacuum also ensures that it can go underneath a lot of furniture to clean those hard to reach areas.- Great mopping action. Unlike older robot moppers which don’t clean the cleaning pads until it makes it back to the home station, this mopper cleans the mopping roller continuously and feeds it with fresh clean water. This means it doesn’t spread the dirt around the floor like older mopping robots. The dirty water is collected in a separate tray that gets cleaned out at the home station. The auto-retraction feature also prevents wet mopping pads from dragging onto carpets, ensuring seamless transitions between surfaces.- Smart Obstacle Avoidance. The advanced obstacle detection system ensures that the S1 navigates smoothly around furniture, cables, and other large obstacles such as shoes. I was impressed by how rarely it got stuck, and it never rolled up cables or laces.- Multi-Level Mapping. The multi-level mapping feature is a lifesaver for multi-story homes and rooms. The robot quickly and accurately maps out each room and floor, allowing you to customize cleaning zones and no-go areas with ease.- Base station features. The base station not only charges the robot, but also empties out the waste tray and refills the clean water tray automatically. Its also the location where the robot does a deep clean cycle where it even dries the mop head to prevent it from smelling. You don’t need to clean the waste tray in the base station every time thanks to its size but I’ve done it just to ensure there is no smell.- Quiet Operation. Despite its powerful suction, the S1 operates surprisingly quietly, which is perfect for households with kids, pets, or remote workers.Cons- Price point. The S1’s price is on the higher side. However, considering the convenience and performance, itâs an investment worth considering.- Water tank on the robot capacity is a little small. The water tank could be slightly larger to cover extensive mopping tasks without frequent refills, especially in larger homes. For my large living room it needs to go back to the station once about 2/3 the way through.- App Learning Curve. The companion app is feature-rich but may feel a bit overwhelming at first. A more intuitive interface would improve the user experience.- Not the best customer service. Though I haven’t had to contact CS for this system yet, as someone who owns several Eufy products, I know from past experience that their CS is not the best. It takes a long time to get a hold of someone with an issue.Overall, the Eufy S1 has been a great addition to my home. Its great cleaning ability, smart navigation, and all-in-one maintenance station have made manual floor cleaning a near thing of the past in my household. While it comes with a premium price tag, its advanced features and ease of use justify the cost for those seeking a hassle-free cleaning solution. If you’re looking for a top-tier robot vacuum and mop combo that handles almost everything on its own, the eufy S1 is an excellent choice.

This is a very easy-to-set-up robot vacuum. I was a little apprehensive going into this, thinking it would be a lot of technological stuff with a steep learning curve, but it’s basically plug-and-play.The directions are right on the outer box, and it’s just a few steps to get it unboxed, plugged in, and charging. From there, you just install the phone app, and it will be up and running in no time.It first does a run of your house to scan the layout. It can then do a sweep of the rugs and a wipe/mop of the floors. I have about a 1000 sqft main floor, and it took about an hour to do the two runs of sweep and mop.It distinguishes between carpet and hard flooring, and it adjusts itself appropriately to the task at hand (or rather underneath). It has front brushes at each corner of the robot, so it can get into square corners to clean out dust. That said, it won’t *scrub* your floors that hard, so caked on mud or other material won’t come off with this unit necessarily. You will have to remove hard stains by hand or with something more heavy duty. However, there is a “deep clean” mode that I haven’t tried yet. Maybe that will do the trick on harder stuff. From the app, you can control the various settings on the unit. You can program different cleaning schedules depending on your needs. You could do daily or set a custom schedule. You can set it for different times of day, so you could have it run while you’re at work. When done, it will self-empty the robot unit. Yet, there is also a wet unit on the robot that you can and should empty by hand. It’s pretty simple to pull out the wet filter and rinse it under the sink. They recommend letting it dry completely before re-assembly. This requires a bit of extra time. It’s not a good idea to to let dirty water sit in these units, as they can start to smell (I know from experience with another smart-vac that I have). But, it’s not a big chore to empty this after it cleans your home. Maybe a couple of minutes and then tamp it dry and let it sit for full drying.I have to stress how convenient this thing is. I can just put it on when I leave the house for work or to run errands, and I come back to a freshly swept and rinsed floor. It’s fantastic. I have a dog and he leaves hair and bits of debris around the house, and this thing is great for cleaning.Of course, this thing won’t get into tight spots like the spaces between the fridge and the counter, and it may not be able to navigate all the chair legs under you dining table. But, you can move these on occasion and allow it to do its thing. You can even use this on multiple floors, and it will map different areas. The “home base” is somewhat big, and you’ll want to have a place to store it. It needs to “landing strip” space to get in and out of the home base, so it may not fit in a small closet (unless the door opens straight out). Personally, I’ve placed it in the most inconspicuous corner of my house that I could find, as I don’t have a lot of main floor closet space.I highly recommend this product, as it works really well to keep the surfaces of your floors nice and clean on a regular basis with very little maintenance from you.I’m happy with this item.

We have a basic robovac/mop that does a pretty decent job – nothing fancy, but it worked with a little assistance from us. Figured we liked it so much, we would do the big upgrade – and not a single disappointment. Wow, this has to be one of the best in the market. Features we love:- please, know what youâre getting – these are not 300 pound scrubbing machines. They are daily or every second day cleaning bots that, when used regularly, will keep the home fresh, keep the dust, dander, and pet hair down, and give life to your floors and carpet.- with that said, this does an amazing, no hassle, no intervention way of getting it accomplished. Offering options such single room clean, whole home deep clean, wholesome simple clean, you simply send it andit goes – from 15 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on your orders.- we keep the floor tidy, but we have hardwood, carpet, and are rugs. It transitions wonderfully, wet cleaning the flooring while only vacuuming the carpet and area rugs. Carpets do not get wet at all, with the exception of the very edge where it transitions may get a few drops.- fill the canister with clean water, add the Eufy cleaning agent, and thatâs it. We have had 4 cleans so far (see pic of our home map) and over half of the water is still not used- the machine self docks and cleans its mop brush, refills water and cleaning solution, empties its vacuum into a docked vacuum bag, and empties dirty mop water. While you can leave the dirty water until it fills, we donât recommend. Just empty after each clean to avoid bacteria and odours- the vacuum setting has multiple suction levels you can set – we opt for the second highest for most rooms- not overly loud, about the noise level of a stick vacuum – does not interfere with tv or conversation in Any way.- SO, SO. Important – its navigation system is phenomenal. It took a few runs to map our home, but once it learns your space (see our pic of the map it created), it is awesome. Navigates easily around chairs and tables, does an admirable job in getting into square corners, and stays true to the soingke room maps it creates.- you can edit boundaries of rooms to get exactly the area you want completed- nice push notifications to your device to let you know what itâs up to at all times, and the voice of the unit is clear and easy to understandAt the end of the day, this machine is an investment for many. Home health, convenience, and excellent performance in both mopping and vacuuming is mission accomplished. Not knowing all the machines out there, we are convinced this is one of, if not the best on the market. As a side note, there is a full accessory package available for 100 dollars on Amazon, and it should give you enough supplies for 2 to 4 years, depending on your usage.Bravo Eufy S1 – if you could take a bow, we know you would (and it actually might when nobodyâs looking)! Fully recommend!

This is not the first robot vacuum I’ve used and hopefully it won’t be the last either. This thing is fantastic. I was a little bit frustrated that setup instructions were on the box rather than included in a manual as I spent a good half hour scouring the box for a missing manual that didn’t exist before seeing instructions on the flap out of the corner of my eye; note for the company: Stop doing this. I get that it’s more eco friendly but the phrase ‘don’t fix what ain’t broke’ comes to mind when it comes to using slightly more biodegradable material; most people aren’t going to check the box because we’ve spent our whole lives reading manuals. If I hadn’t seen that, it wouldn’t have been difficult though as you can just search up the company name in the play store and find their app so it wasn’t a big deal. Once you have the app setup is super simple, you just plug it in and scan a qr code and the machine comes to life. The room recognition works nicely, and unlike other robot vacuums I’ve used doesn’t require it to aimlessly roam rooms for minutes at a time so it likely has much better image recognition technology than other similar products. My main real complaint is the water tank, which is super finnicky and whether or not it gets recognised or not depends entirely on the position of the nearby dust tank’s flap. It took me a good hour to get the machine to recognise the water tank and it undid itself an hour later requiring me to go back and adjust the flap yet again. It’s been fine since but it’s very frustrating that this issue exists in the first place. I do really like this product aside from that though, and I would easily recommend it to anyone who has the money to spare to afford one of these.
