    AMAZING!!!
This thing is Amazing, absolute life changer. If you have animals that shed, you know the frustrations of trying to keep your floors clean. We have a yellow Labrador and a tuxedo cat and dark hardwood floors. We were sweeping 3 to 4 times a week trying to stay on top of the fur, it got to be crazy. I decided this was the year to by a robotic vacuum, but which one? I researched for months and finally decided on the eufy L60 SES, it’s absolutely amazing. Our house is only 1700 square feet, and right now eufy is only sweeping the living room, kitchen and family room, about 510 square feet, takes about 40 minutes and only uses about 45% of the battery, which is set on the third highest suction setting. It’s set to start at 12:30am, It’s very quiet when sweeping, only gets slightly loud when it empties its dust collector, but I don’t hear this when sleeping. In the morning the floors are clean and 99% clear of fur. If you’re thinking of getting one of these I highly recommend it.

    Good product, very good value
I’ve had this robot working for 10 days. I really like it. I have hardwood floors throughout, with some area rugs of various thicknesses. One of the rugs is about 3/4″ thick, and it climbs up onto it with no trouble. It sometimes flips up the corner of a small, thin throw, but that hasn’t been much of a problem. It’s unobtrusive and pretty quiet while doing the vacuuming. When it goes home and empties the robot’s bin, it’s as loud as a regular vacuum cleaner, but that lasts less than a minute. The app is pretty intuitive and relatively easy to navigate.I had a bit of trouble getting it to pair with my wifi network. The first night, it failed all four times I tried. Each time, it said it was establishing a connection, circled the drain for a 10 minutes or so, with a progress bar that reached 60 on the best attempt, then quit. The first time, on a saturday I was only five feet away from the router, on the other side of a wall. Other times, I was right next to it. Tech help available only weekdays, so I waited until monday, but decided to give it one more try just before calling. Lo and behold! it established a connection within a minute – go figureOnce the connection was established, I told it to map the area. It takes an interesting approach. No logic I can figure out, it just seems to randomly run around, but creates a map you can track in the app. Then you can set up no-go zones and edit the map if necessary.Once while I was gone, the robot went into a small bathroom and somehow must have bumped the partially open door closed after it went in, so it was trapped. When I returned and finally found it, it was off, but had not run down its battery. I just pushed the on button and it went its merry way and finished the job. I have prevented recurrences by installing magnetic door stops on all the doors so the robot can’t bump the closed. One other time, it jammed itself in a tight spot behind a coffee table. The spot was just the right size to trap the robot. I prevented recurrences by moving the table slightly. I am running it every other day and don’t have to even think about it.

Pros: Cleans well, quiet; Cons: Needs supervision, wifi issues
The other day I sat down at my computer to buy a vacuum for our new home, 1400 sq ft of half WHITE medium pile carpeting, half medium-dark faux (laminate) wood flooring. I have issues being on my feet long enough to vacuum/dust mop the whole house. Hubby is usually the designated vacuumer, but that results in a less than optimal vacuum schedule (like, every other month, maybe).I am not a clean freak by any estimation. I can leave stuff go to a point I’m sure some would find disgusting. But I do want the dog hair and dust picked up with some regularity and I don’t want to be the one to do it.Enter robot vacuums! Perchance the answer to all my floor cleaning problems. I did some (minimal) research to determine which robot vacuum at my price point ($250 -$300) was the best one, and I picked the (wifi-enabled) eufy 30-C.First problem was (and remains), the wifi will not work. We have both the latest wifi infrastructure (just installed in the neighborhood) and the 2G connection eufy requires. Everything else in the house works fine on the wiFi, but not the eufy. Chats and emails with the reasonably helpful eufy support people resulted in the only solution, connecting through one of our phones as a hot spot. But guess what? When we leave the house (with our phones), connection broken. Can’t program it. Can’t “find my eufy.” The eufy people said the wifi must be our problem since eufy did work with the hot spot, but they offered to exchange the vacuum, which may or may not solve the wifi issue. At least they always answer my inquiries promptly and seem to be trying to help.I don’t know if the wifi feature is going to make a difference. Because after living with the eufy for three days, I can see that it would be a bad idea to leave him alone with the wifi anyway. He putters, occasionally in circles, returning again and again to the same room. He can get stuck. You have to watch him in action to identify the areas that trip him up and remove obstacles, but in general, I don’t think I would leave ever him alone for the following reasons:It has taken the last 3 days, with some direction from me and the remote, for eufy to vacuum every floor in our (not very big) house. So far left on his own he is very enamored of the living room and dining room and spends the vast majority of the 70 or so battery minutes (not the 90 minutes indicated in instructions) vacuuming the heck out of those two rooms, with brief forays into the rest of the house, before he dutifully docks himself to recharge. After about 3 hours he can go again, and I can redirect him if he lumbers back into the living room for the 5th time, but there are only so many hours in the day (and the dog gets real tired of being stalked), so a thorough full-house cleaning takes considerably more than one day.Eufy mostly gets himself out of difficult spots, but sometimes he will waste 15 battery minutes humping a chair leg or shuddering beneath an end table before he pries himself away to explore new worlds. The one time I left the house (for 30 minutes!) he ran out of battery spinning around in some wires I forgot were behind the couch.Where he spends his time, he does a great job. Tons of dust/dog hair in his bin every time. He has no trouble going from carpet to floor and back, or over area rugs, even glides over forgotten dog chew bones. I love the edging feature; it is the one time he does the whole house from room to room, grinding along the edges, something I would not do in a million years by myself with a vacuum or mop.Other good features: Eufy is whisper quiet. So far he always docks himself when instructed or when out of battery (unless stuck in aforementioned wires). He is easy to clean. Battery takes about 3 hours to recharge, not horrible. In summary, since the most important things to me are:A )I don’t want to be on my feet vacuuming/dust mopping for hours andB) See A above I am going to keep eufy as long as he keeps doing a good job of cleaning the floors he visits. I am home most of the time and don’t mind (too much) checking up on him. Given our wifi issues eufy has offered to give us a 15% refund and so I think the customer support is responsive. If you really need to have a completely unsupervised bot I would say don’t get this one. I will update if he breaks in an unreasonable amount of time.

Our very first droid ! We named it Rosie and gave it some googly eyes! She looks super extra but she’s actually pretty basic. She does her job without complaint but sometimes she gets scared and will beep until you rescue her.The cats are determined to kill her broom but she doesn’t seem to mind. They turn her on when she sleeping but she just goes right back to bed.She doesn’t mop or self empty but she sure does suck 😂 I have a high end German canister vacuum (not a Dyson, those things are trash) that I now use to empty Rosie’s chamber lol. It’s shocking how much dust there is to collect every day . I’m grateful for the entertainment and freeing of time Rosie has brought to our home 🩷The value for money with this unit is amazing. It really does have incredible suction and hardly ever gets stuck. I was worried about floor transitions but it’s not an issue for this unit. After the first use I was horrified at the amount of dirt this thing collected but now that it’s been running for several weeks it’s a reasonable amount of daily dirt lol. We have two cats and three dogs and this things keeps the floor spec free ! My only regret it that I didn’t buy one sooner. If you want a no nonsense droid that isn’t spying on you with a camera this is the one!

This thing is great we have 2 super shedder dogs that blow their coats in the spring and running this every 12 hours has really kept the dog fur tumbleweeds to a minimum. We have always had issues keeping up with the fur output but it’s taken care of now. The hair cutter also works great never any hair or fur wrapped around the bristles just the very ends need to be cleaned once a week or so,The only cons I see are on max power the battery drains over 1% a minute if you have a larger house you will need to run the power lower or it will need to recharge in between rooms. The filter on the dustbin is also a little on the small side so it will require cleaning more often. Likewise the dust bags in the base are not huge so we nearly filled it in a week vs the advertised 60 days when the dogs were shedding this spring. The base is also loud, like industrial shop vac loud when emptying the robot. With that said it still gets 5 stars from me, it cleans the tons of dog fur incredibly well, the app works good. It avoids everything it could get stuck/tangled in. Running it on the second highest suction it still cleans just as good and has 50% battery left when done as we have alot of hard floor. The self emptying works great just a little loud, the hair cutter works excellent and it goes at least a week without any intervention, 10 minutes of cleaning the robot a week for all the hours of vacuuming is a great trade. Will be looking at the Eufy X10 Omni in the near future when we want a mopping robot!

【BACKGROUND】I’ve had a Roomba 671 for over a year. I want to list downsides to that first because it is typical of most Roomba-brand robotic vacs.【iRobot ROOMBA CONS】* LOUD – don’t expect to watch TV while a Roomba is cleaning your room* only one sweeper brush so edges only got cleaned when it was traveling in one direction along a wall* sensor turret sticks above level of robot, causing it to bump into low furniture, sometimes getting stuck* horridly unreliable at docking – tended to shove the dock around, and debris (in a relatively clean home!) would cover the charging contacts, causing docking to fail* virtual walls required buying separate “towers” which were expensive and ate batteries【THE EUFY DIFFERENCE】First of all: if you’ve heard of “Anker” – makers of some of the best USB cables and powerbanks on the market – Eufy is Anker’s home-product brand with items like smart light bulbs, plugs, switches, and robotic vacuums. I’ve had great luck with their USB products and when reading up on “ideal robovacs”, they were consistently top of the list.【Eufy 30C PROS】* much quieter than Roomba* when returning to dock, suction shuts off and it is dead-silent* on approaching the charging base, it slows down to a crawl and navigates precisely* HEPA filter, with a spare included* double sweeper brushes, with spares included* Google Assistant and Alexa integration* physical remote control that sits in a divot on top of the charging dock and gives FULL control of the robot* magnetic strips for creating barriers (see explanation below)* app has been updated and controls all the functions the remote will (boost level, mode etc)【Eufy 30C CONS】* dock is functional but the power supply is ugly – it’s a “wall wart” which Eufy tries to mitigate by having a cord wrap inside the dock – Roomba clearly has the advantage here with the power supply built into the dock and a simple, NEMA 2-pin plug going to the wall. I’d like to see Eufy re-design this.* not AS QUIET as some of the reviews would have you think. It *is* quieter than the Roomba but not dead silent, even on the “low” suction mode.* Google Home integration requires Google Assistant. You can’t directly link Google Home to Eufy – it generates an error. Instead, you link Google Assistant with Eufy Home, then create a routine in Google Home to engage Google Assistant to control the vacuum. It’s annoying to initially set up but in practice it works seamlessly – I still have a Home routine called “clean” that starts the Eufy Vac.【Details of Magnetic Barriers】Further explanation of one of my points: the magnetic strips. Ostensibly, you can peel the backing off and stick them to any hard surface. Turns out, you can even put them UNDER things, and cut the magnetic strip lengthwise. The instructions advise against this (likely because of reduced magnetic field strength not tripping the robot’s sensors) but in practice, it works! I sliced a strip so it’s about 1/3 its width and hid it in a floor transition strip (see photo of transition – the magnetic strip is right under there). It creates enough of a field the robot gets near and immediately turns around. Total game changer here – no need for multiple “towers” like you’d have for Roomba. You could even lift up carpet and hide these strips underneath, maybe cutting away some carpet underlay to ensure the magnetic strip sits flush.【CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION】It’s clear there are some minor compromises with Eufy products but they’re mostly aesthetic and not functional.I’d LIKE to have seen a prettier power supply for the base (simple plug, not a wall wart) and direct Google Home integration. In practice, those don’t affect the vacuum at all – it just works, even better than Roomba, at a lower cost. Top marks.
