But… no user manual?
Let me start by commenting on the performance of this floor cleaner. It is absolutely great! Much better than I was expecting! Our kitchen size is approximately 18’ x 11’. I was able to go over the entire floor several times, even filling the clean water bin and emptying the dirty water twice each. By the time I was finished with that, I had approximately 8 minutes of run time left according to the built in timer. Both times that I emptied the dirty water, it was much dirtier than I had anticipated! I’ve included a picture of the first time I emptied it. Yuck!A disappointment for me, though, was that there is no instruction book/user manual included. At this price, and as confusing as some of the controls are, it’s essential. I was able to find a PDF manual on the manufacturer’s website and downloaded it. That helped a lot, but this is still somewhat confusing to use. When you have so many functions controlled by just a few buttons, simplicity gets tossed out the window. I did download the app (which walks you through the registration process). The app was unable to read the serial number, so it required manual entry. The app also includes a couple of instructional videos, but they aren’t very helpful. The initial charge for the battery took a little less than an hour. The downloaded manual says that you can get “up to 35 minutes of runtime” with a fully charged battery. That seems about right given my one-time use experience with this cleaner. It would seem to me that having a device like this as a corded appliance would be a little more useable as you wouldn’t have to worry about running out of battery power.I’m a little surprised that this appliance doesn’t have a light on it like most vacuum cleaners do. I think an LED light would help illuminate some surfaces that might not have much light shine on them.Overall, I would rate this as four stars and would recommend this to a friend. An included user manual and helpful on-line instructional videos would improve my rating to a perfect five stars.I hope you find this information helpful.

I replaced a disappointing Bissell Crosswave with this. While it’s definitely an upgrade, I’m not sure it’s worth the price. The first annoyance is that there are no instructions. You have to follow the prompts on the little screen in the handle. Look, I’m old school. Gimme the silly booklet.Second, the bottom tray, while awesome in some respects, was really hard to get out the first couple of times. It has gotten a bit easier, but arthritic hands will struggle; mine certainly did and I have mild arthritis. I felt like I was going to break it the first time I actually managed to get it out.I do love that it separates the debris because it makes dumping the dirty water tank less gross – nothing is going to plop and splash back up on you. The tanks also hold a good volume – I can do my kitchen, dining room, living room, and entry without having to refill or dump when on the lowest setting. Now that said, when they say only low-sudsing cleaner or none at all, they mean it. I used a bit of the old Bissell stuff when my puppy had an accident and it ended up foaming out the bottom and creating a bigger mess. I just don’t like using plain water on urine spots because I don’t want the puppy to come back to it and make a mess there again on purpose because she can still smell it. That was sort of a big thing with a new puppy; I want to know the floor is clean both in appearance and in dog-smell capability. The next annoyance is that when it turns off, it leaves a dirty water puddle I always have to wipe up. It’s like cleaning after cleaning and I find that more than annoying.Speaking of cleaning after cleaning, because it didn’t come with an instruction book of any kind, it took a while to figure out the self clean. Is it really going to walk me through the steps every time? Or will it stop that after so many cycles? Ugh.Edge cleaning is better than my Crosswave, by leaps and bounds. It points to one particular side for edges, though. You have to run in that direction or it doesn’t get as close. It also claims the brushes will last a lifetime, but… I have kids, dogs, bunnies, chickens, and men who work outdoors all day. Nothing lasts a life time around here!I also do 2 self cleaning cycles after each use because of the paws and boots around here. While we don’t wear shoes in the house, I just feel water doesn’t get the floor quite as clean as I would like. If the rollers are still a bit grimy, we’re ultimately just lightening any pots and spreading germs. I will still keep my standard mop for super gross messes (again, kids and dogs folks!), and for when I need to get specifics off the floor like a puppy accident or tracked in chicken-poo.Overall, this feels like a VERY expensive mop. While neat, I am not certain it is justified at the current $699 price point (Dec 2024). The lack of ability to use an enzyme cleaner, or to turn off without leaving a puddle is a major bummer for something this expensive.

Easy set up, videos on you tube and cleaning after is easy. Tray on the bottom and clean water in tank to self clean. I’m happy with it, Dyson lasts and is dependable. I’m very picky, and I think it’s great. It’s simple and easy. My floor looked great , I mixed vinegar in for cleaning.

When someone pays this much money for what amounts to a wet/dry vacuum/mop, it should come with instructions. While it may perform better than most, what you’re really paying for is the brand name of “Dyson”.

I constantly kept looking at this thing after I bought it, wondering if I should return it and get something cheaper. Because let’s face it, this thing is priced high. Dyson isn’t new to the game on these things, and theres a few other products that do this out there.Let’s be real, no one would ever take this to a pile of spaghetti. So when watching videos keep that in mind. The bad reviews are funny. Yes if you pick up oatmeal, the tray you need to clean will be gross. If you use it like a normal person, then this thing is great. The self clean does awesome. I ran it a 2nd time to see if the water was still perky, and I was surprised on well it did on the first pass.I kept it because I have steam mops, I use Bona swiffer like things on my floor, I have a robot mop all for the wood floors. This thing killed it though. The satisfaction you get from that nasty water you see when you are done is great. Everyone agrees that the floors ever feel cleaner when walking barefoot.
