V8 Extra Purple: I Love It!
A couple of years ago, we bought a full-size, corded Shark vacuum, with all of the extras, which we love; it’s an absolute beast. But, when we bought that, I wanted a cordless, lightweight vacuum, instead – an “everyday vacuum.”So imagine my delight, when last summer (July 2024), during Prime Days, I ran across this little gem and got a sweet deal on it, too.It is everything I was looking for in my “everyday vacuum” plus so much more! It’s super lightweight, super easy to maneuver all around our house, has plenty of suction power for most all of our needs and it empties quick & easy. It has plenty enough charge to vacuum our entire house, and that includes bumping it up into high-power a couple of times to suck up something bigger than the usual dust & crumbs. We do have hard floors throughout and our house is only around 1500 SQ feet, but we also have cats, dogs and 2 big, messy Macaw parrots, so I do put it through its paces.I think my favorite thing about it is being able to “turn” it into a hand vac, or converting it so I can clean the ceiling fans, dust the furniture, etc. All of the attachments, and things are so easy to remove and put together with that satisfying “CLICK”…no fidgeting with hard to press buttons or fighting with parts that have a top secret way to fit together. And, when you’re done, hang it up until tomorrow, when you’ll find it charged up and ready to go, even if you’re not!

Awesome, worth the money
I am more enthusiastic about my Dyson cordless vacuums than any other appliances I’ve ever owned! My first, the V8 Animal, was a gift. After 4+ years of daily use, the lightweight, powerful and super convenient machine’s battery wasn’t lasting very long on the highest suction and the beater brush was getting worn down. Both parts are replaceable but I decided to put the money toward a second, newer model, the V8 Extra. I now use the older one for the patio and workshop. Dyson is a class act and the customer service is wonderful. I have purchased an after market soft hardwood floor head which I like for dust. It is lighted which would be my preference for the regular beater head, but I still wouldn’t buy another brand of vacuum cleaner. Worth every penny.

Great vacuum
I love my new vacuum. It is cordless and very light weight. My only complaint is I donât have anyone to put up the holder and it is top heavy so it crashes down to the floor unexpectedly if you stand against the wall. Thankfully it is well made so no damage. The dust bin is a bit small. I love that it fits under couches and furniture easily. The battery life is enough for me to vacuum my entire house before it dies out.

Good vacuum
Solid vacuum but the battery dies pretty quickly so be aware if you need a vacuum for larger spaces.

Great Product!!
I’ve owned an older refurbished Dyson for years. . .. but don’t care for lugging around that elephantine machine, and after using the newer ‘stick’ version at families homes, I finally decided to get one for our place! It stores in a convenient, small space, has plenty of suction, and is amazingly quick and efficient, especially on wood, or laminate floors. It manages tight spots, and is so light and easy to use, and I’m just discovering the hand held advantages for cleaning the car, and other small clean up jobs!I also love the ‘user friendly’ Dyson design, with easy to replace parts, filters that can be cleaned and reused, and You Tube videos for repairs and problems. What a deal. . . . . with my recent Amazon discount special!!

Dyson V8 Cordless Vacuum
I love the ease and use of this vacuum. The battery does not last long, but I bought for daily maintenance of my home with a husky. This is by far the best vacuum I have ever purchased with suction and ease!I have used it every single day since I purchased in July! The ease of switching attachments is excellent!

Absolutely Fabulous in every way
Well worth the extra money. Had the same model for 12 years and loved it. The old one still works somewhat but a couple of the latches had broken (my fault) so they are now taped shut and I figured it was time for a new one (although i’m planning to keep the old one as a backup for dirtier places like outdoor patio.)I actually tried two other cheaper brands, before deciding to go again with Dyson. It is so much better and lasts so many years, it is well worth the higher price. You do get what you pay for. And anything that makes housecleaning not only easier but almost enjoyable, or at least very satisfying, is worth the investment.Three of the main factors in my decision were:1. The weight of the Dyson is much well balanced than other brands, with the handle placed near its center of gravity and on an angle. So even though it is technically a similar weight to other cheaper machines, it FEELS a lot lighter because the handle is ergonomically designed. For something I use 100’s of times a year, that added comfort is invaluable.2. The suction power, and the diversity of attachments, make it a great tool to effectively clean almost any surface. It is exceptional for Pet Hair!3. The color is striking and it is partly what makes cleaning almost fun, as crazy as that may sound. This time I got the enhanced color option so that even the long stick attachment is a gorgeous metallic purple instead of gray/silver. LOve that option !!!!! Did I mention that this Dyson revolutionized my idea that cleaning can be fun?!?*FYI the model I chose is an older one, the 8, which is the same I had before. It is perfect for my needs, and much cheaper than more recent models. Even though it is older, they last Forever and it is still easy to find/buy the filters and any other replacement parts that might be needed such as the charger or battery. All seem readily available. (I did replace the battery once on my old one, after about ten years of heavy use.)
