Awesome Suction
I have went through a few vacuums trying to find the perfect one for hardwood floors because every other vacuum i have bought always either shoots the crumbs back out onto my feet or the crumbs just completely falls right back out as soon as i think I’ve vacuumed it all up. So i decided to splurge on a vacuum so that maybe i would actually find a good vacuum for once, and here it is. I’m in love. You can actually feel it suction to the floor when you switch from low to high. Now i will say the battery doesn’t last too long but thats the only downside for me. But it’s still worth it! I was able to vacuum my living room, hallway and one bathroom before it died, so that’s still not too bad. I give it 5 stars!

Great power and flexibility in a small size. Makes vacuuming fun!
I bought this Dyson V8 as an addition to my upright Hoover that I’ve had for years. I’ve always wanted to try one but they’re so expensive. This was a great prime deal. I wanted a handheld unit for some of the more difficult areas to get into like the cat tower and nooks and crannies.I tried it on the cat tower and was super impressed. The suction was really great and the accessories included were great. They are so easy to swap in and out.I let it charge overnight and then went to use it on the rest of the house. I have some shag carpet, a rug, standard carpet and tiles. It work great on all of them. I found the max mode later and used it on my area rug to deep clean it. I was impressed. Then I realized I can use it with my car! I can’t wait to clean my car. I have a vacuum for my car but it’s terrible and I know this will be better.Cleaning the vacuum itself is also very easy. One of my biggest issues with my upright is it’s such a pain to open the canister to empty it. This one is so easy. Also, my upright is pretty loud and this one is so much quieter. I was very happily surprised.It’s been so great so far and it’s going to replace two vacuum cleaners. I’m not using my upright anymore. I bought four more accessories as well to make it even more flexible.Charging it is very easy and the wall charging mount is very useful. I haven’t mounted it yet but I will later.I’m extremely pleased, especially with the prime deal that I got and couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

Works great but poor battery life
I’ve had the vacuum for several months and right out the box I was a little disappointed in the battery life. At first I was getting about 20mins max battery life. Now, only a few months later, the battery life is about 10 mins. Not even enough to vacuum my den properly, much less the rest of the hardwoods in the house. The charge time is relatively long so it’s usually the next day before I am able to continue where I left off.I will say that the performance is quite good. It easily sucks crumbs and pet hair out of corners without the vacuum being directly over it.When trying to vacuum couch cushions, the extreme suction almost locks the head to the cushion and bogs down the beater bar and almost instantly trips the beater bar motor. Then you have to let off the trigger and depress it again for the beater bar to resume.On hard surfaces, it works amazing.The only two complaints as mentioned would be the short battery life and the inability to vacuum upholstery.

I regret this purchase.
This equipment is awkward and clumsy to handle. I have 3 main issues with this unit. The weight is the first issue. The specs say that it is light-weight. Just the unit head is 5 pounds with the brush attachment. This may not sound like much, but when you consider this amount of weight is in your hand to support while you are doing what you need to do, it gets heavy fast! It takes strong upper body and arm strength to support this amount of weight. And when you attach the floor attachment, it adds another 3 pounds of weight. This weight is not on the floor, it is in your hands.The second issue is the battery heating up. When using it as a dust buster or a regular floor attachment, the blower is blowing cold air into your face and when it heats up after just a minute or two, it is blowing hot air into your face, or upper torso. On the ‘max’ setting, it just takes a minute for the battery to heat up and start blowing hot air.The third issue is how clumsy the floor unit is. It takes patience to get the floor attachment to level out to the floor, and each time you move it to another position you have to get the attachment to level out to the floor. Most aggravating.Another issue is the hair trigger the ‘on’ button has. This could be a great thing, but the design of it is that when you are picking up the unit, the on button is triggered. It is a constant struggle to handle the unit without pressing the ‘on’ button.I regret this purchase. I could not recommend it in any way, shape or form.

Great Cordless but short battery life.
I really love my Dyson. But two glaring mistakes stick out with this one. First, the battery dies FAST! We thought it was too fast and even had Dyson send us a replacement- nope. Just dies fast is all. You’ll get about 30 minutes on reg power and about 15 on high. Then, it takes like 3 hours to charge.Second? The design of the wall hanger is weird. Every time we hang up to charge we have to really give it a good push and it’s gotten to the point that tie cord is now permanently bent. Hopefully we dont meed to replace in a year.Other than that, the suction is SUPERIOR to anything else on the market, which is I guess what we pay for. So, I’m still happy I bought it, but a longer battery life and less charging time would definitely be helpful.

So glad I splurged!
I was reluctant to spend the money but I am very glad I did. This vacuum is amazing. Powerful, light weight, easy to clean after use, easy to use and unobtrusively very close at hand. I havenât found a mess it wonât pick up. I like the way it handles too.
