HEPA stands for “High Efficiency Particulate air”. If you’re looking for a filter than can get everything, this is it. Dustless HEPA filters are individually certified and serialized, meaning they’ve been laboratory tested to be compliant with OSHA and EPA laws for hazardous material containment. A Dustless HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particles at 0.3 microns. That is 0.00003 centimeters across, much smaller than the width of a human hair, a red blood cell, bacteria, pollen, and allergens.
CERTIFIED HEPA: Individually tested, certified and serialized HEPA filter.
EPA RRP OSHA COMPLIANT: Complies with EPA RRP and OSHA laws and regulations concerning hazardous material pickup.
SAFE FOR HAZARDOUS MATERIALS: Certified safe for asbestos, silica, lead paint, and hexavalent chromium pickup and containment.
COMPLETE CONTAINMENT: Will never blow dust or pickup back into the air.
WET AND DRY VACUUMING: Safely go back and forth from wet to dry pickup, including water, without switching filters.

Good Vacuums
Very good vacuums, we use them a lot for projects where we are sanding or removing product off walls. Helps with the Dust and very reliable, we use them a lot and have bought more than 10 in the last few months.

Very Capable Machine, Reasonable Price, Many Accessories Available
I purchased this to clean up after asbestos was found in my house. I learned that conventional wet / dry vacuums, and household vacuums are NOT capable of safely cleaning up fine particles like lead and asbestos, even if they mention HEPA. This is not a typical wet / dry vacuum, it actually comes with a certificate indicating its level of filtration and performance. The vacuum is well designed, and the price is reasonable. The only design weakness I’ve noticed so far is the little yellow clips that secure the motor into the lid, and the lid onto the canister; they actually send an extra, as if it’s assumed you’re going to break one at some point. I’m fairly careful with equipment, so don’t really expect this to be an issue.Like any powerful vacuum, it does discharge a lot of air. I mention this because the exhaust will move dust around the room, so you’ll still need to ventilate accordingly and wear the proper high filtration respirator if hazardous substances are present. I ordered the 25ft extension hose to reduce this issue by setting the vacuum away from the work area. The vacuum uses three filters: A bag filter, a filtering cover that goes over the final filter, and a certified HEPA final filter. Replacing the final filter will be expensive (around $150) but the manufacturer says you won’t have to change it often if you use the filter bags (around $13ea) which hold up to 40lbs of stuff. The machine and filter costs are higher than regular wet /dry vacuums, but not as costly as potential health issues or hiring someone to clean up.I am satisfied with this purchase, and would recommend to a friend.

No good for hazardous material p
The intake or pickup tube inside this machine is not protruding into the machine enough for a secure fit of the pick up bag. There is only like a 1/2″ of solid tube. The bag slides off and the hazardous debri leaks out instead of going through the hepa filter. So when you open the vacuum your area is contaminated with hazardous dust. There is no way this machine should be certified for hazardous lead dust but they do give a certificate for just that but it never should have gotten one. I ended up securing the bag with an exhaust clamp for a truck muffler but it still leaks a little. I also ordered dustless bags for wet dry vacuuming but the bags came with an improved lock to take the place of my muffler clamp bit the engineers at this place must be slow because the lock in the bag forced it even further off the intake tube so it leaks even worse now I had to cut the lock off the bag and install the muffler clamp and add you all know this vacum is not cheap and it’s no cleaner or dustless than my old craftsman shop vac. Buyer beware I have a $500 peice of junk shop vac with a lead certification I guess your buying the lead certificate. Oh also the metal peice your not supposed to remove from the plastic bag was not in a bag on mine…. go figure.

Excellent
This is expensive but it is worth it. Cord length is great, the suction is super and the hepa filters keep everything trapped. Weâve been remodeling and it has done fantastic on keeping the dust down to an absolute minimum.*** Edit. It is holding up exceptionally well! No complaints at all

True to its name
This vacuum is impressive – probably the best shop vac I have ever owned. Previous cheaper vacs quickly broke, clogged, or exhaled too much dust. This is a truly heavy duty machine that performs hour after hour, day after day. Even the finest dust goes in and nothing comes out (it is important to use the prefilter bags in combination with the HEPA filter). The only downside is that the replacement filters are somewhat expensive, but worth the price for those serious about protecting their lungs.

non performing piece of crap. Wait for a viable product
No power, can not get the job done. Only vacuum with OSHA seal, must have paid off the OSHA INSPECTOR. dO not spend your money on this cheap, non performing piece of crap . Wait for a viable product. A $100 piece of equipment ANY WHERE else that you are seemingly forced to payPiece of crap

Great vacuum
This vacuum is great! I never had a shop vac before, though. But it has a good suction and definitely no dust gets out. There’s a slight engine smell if it’s run for too long but it’s not an issue for me and it quickly goes away. I’m also using this as a normal house vacuum, not just for house projects. I had been thinking of buying a separate vacuum for house purposes but I was tired of them kicking up dust everywhere (which I hear is not good for you), so I’m using this, which has been wonderful! The hose attachments are great for vacuuming the floor/carpet or tiny spaces. It also apparently comes with an instant lead-test kit, which was a pleasant surprise!

Quality
It was great at picking up materials but the parts on day one started to break and the hose wouldnât stay into the connectors and the plastic pipes cracked easily. I would pay extra like over $1000 to get a different brand.
