Replacement for OEM Dewalt cordless tools
Bought this for Hubby, who does not want to part with his Dewalt 18V drills and light. He was hesitant to use non-OEM batteries, but we can no longer find the batteries. This battery worked great from the start. It charged up quickly for its first use and has held up well after many hours of use. He’s only had this for a couple of months, so I can’t speak about long-term use. But, so far Hubby is very pleased- and happy he doesn’t need to invest in new tools.

Has me a little bit worried
Okay, on paper these seemed like a great deal. I can’t find DeWalt original 18v batteries anywhere and I really did not want to go to an entirely new battery system and trade in all my tools. Here appears to be Lithium technology in an 18v. battery for DeWalt, and they cost far less than the original batteries.The first indication that I might have made a mistake is that the batteries fit, but would not charge in my official DeWalt charger. I noticed that my official DeWalt batteries have 3 contacts; these batteries only have two contacts. Okay. So, I went looking for an appropriate charger. None of them indicate that they were designed for Lithium batteries. But, I took a chance and ordered the DC9310 charger from Amazon. This seemed to work, it charged the batteries, nothing got hot, the light stopped blinking, indicating that the battery was fully charged, the green lights on the battery indicated a full charge. And the batteries worked in my tools. I think, I’m golden.I still have this gnawing feeling though. There are warnings on the charger not to charge anything but nickel-metal halide batteries and warnings on the batteries to only charge with an “appropriate” charger.So far, so good, but. . .

Good batteries overall
These are replacement, generic type batteries. These are for the 18 Volt De Walt tools. It was good to find since De Walt has come out with new battery configurations. I have a lot of older tools from De Walt that I got when still working full time in construction. Now, I use them all for my jobs around the house. These batteries came charged right out of the box. I gave them a full charge and they power the tools just fine. They fit perfectly into my chargers and into my tools. Great price when compared to original De Walt ones. If you use these kind of batteries you will save a lot when buying these replacements.

Trying out not expecting anything good
I bought these batteries not expecting them to be very good I received them and I used them and I was very surprised with the results the only thing I had was a charging problem I couldnât get them to charge I had a fast charger and I did have a slower charger also tried it and they charged great no problems Iâm very happy with the batteries seem to work good and hold a charge good ðð
