Best vacuum mop combo we tried
We ordered the Dreame L10S vacuum and mop to replace our Shark IQ Robot Vacuum with Self Empty that we have been using for years. I can’t stress enough how much of an upgrade this vacuum is to us. The Shark vacuum is just absolutely dumb when compared to the smart the Dreame L10S with its Pathfinder 3DAapt Technology and advanced Lidar mapping system. The Shark vacuum bounces of walls and objects and constantly gets hung up on obstacles and then gets lost in our home because the app doesn’t tell us the area where the robot got stuck. The Dreame L10S glides across our floors without making contact with anything and it is much quieter than the Shark. Once the initial mapping sequence is completed, the app shows us exactly where the robot vacuum is in our house in real time so it never gets lost – or hung up on obstacles. We’ve been using Dreame L10S for over a week and it has yet to get stuck anywhere. The Dreame L10S has incredible suction that picks up fine pet hair and dust and dirt and the mopping feature is nothing short of amazing. Our hard wood and tile floors have never looked this amazing and that’s after just one pass. It will cover every square inch of floor surface and it remembers exactly where it left off when the cleaning process is interrupted to empty the dust container or clean the mops which it will do automatically and frequently. Our house has over 1500 square feet of floor space and the vacuum is capable of cleaning 90% of our floors before needing recharging. I’m sure the L10S will mop and vacuum entire floors in homes that are smaller without needing recharging. The mop cleaning function is fantastic. We can adjust the water volume to make the process more on the dry side or sopping wet! The spinning brushes do a better job than manual cleaning with a Swiffer mop and it’s a much cleaner process as well. The vacuum will stop the moping sequence every so often and then return to the base to undergo a wet and dry cleaning process that uses detergent to sanitize the circular mops. The process is done in minutes and then the vacuum goes to the exact spot where it left off and continue mopping. The home base contains two large water containers – one for clean water and the other for dirty water. It features a detergent container and includes a bottle of concentrated floor and mop cleaning solution that will last for weeks. You can probably use other detergents if you don’t want to use the Dreame branded detergent, but refill bottles are cheap so I don’t plan on using anything else. The phone app is extremely customizable but it will take some time to learn how to exploit all of the many great features. The L10S includes a thick manual but the quick start guide will get you going in a hurry. The robot vacuum itself and the home base are very elegant although quite heavy. The L10S includes a pre-installed dust collection bag along with a spare in the box. These bags will last months before needing to be tossed away in the trash, and replacements are very affordable. Overall, the Dreame L10S robot vacuum and mop will be one of the best investments you’ve ever made and I can’t recommend it enough because it’s such a time saver. It’s hard to fault it, but if I must get critical, the Lidar feature is located on the top of the vacuum in sort of a turret looking container. This adds a little height to the vacuum and there are some pieces of furniture in our house where the robot vacuum will not be able to go underneath. It will do it’s best to reach underneath and clean what it can which is good enough for me.

I can adjust the water volume for a gentler or more thorough mopping, which is great for different floor types. Though the floor was a bit damp at first, once I tweaked the settings in the app, the mopping function worked perfectly.I also appreciate the self-emptying feature. After each cleaning session, the vacuum returns to the base station, empties its dustbin, and even cleans and dries the mop pads. This saves me a lot of time, and I only need to check the vacuum once a week to refill the water tank or replace the dust bag. The app allows me to track the robot’s progress in real-time, set cleaning schedules, and create virtual “no-go” zones for specific rooms, making the whole experience hassle-free.Battery life is another highlight. The Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2 runs for up to 240 minutes on a single charge, which easily covers my entire house. It’s not the quietest robot—especially when self-emptying—but this is a minor issue compared to the vacuum’s performance and convenience. My dreame L10S Ultra Gen 2 vacuum arrived today and I had to get it unboxed and setup right away.I was very impressed by how well the vacuum, base station and all accessories came securely packed to avoid any possible damage during delivery.Once I had the vacuum unpacked and the base station set up and plugged in, set up was a breeze using the Dreamehome app. I was able to connect to my wifi quickly and immediately updated to the latest firmware.Once the robot was fully up to date and ready to use, I had it go out and do a first time mapping of my home and this didn’t take too long and the map looked pretty good.I then allowed the vacuum to fully charge and didn’t first cleaning and I was thrilled by how well it worked. The suction is very good and if you feel you need to, you can have it to multiple passes for a deeper cleaning.The way it smartly works its way around the outer walls first before cleaning the rest of each room is so nice. I have had other robot vacuums that didn’t seem to have a clue what they were doing and would randomly go all over the place and often leave a room before it had cleaned it entirely.I love how the vacuum avoids obstacles and doesn’t bump into furniture or if it does, it does it lightly. My old vacuum damaged some of my furniture and scratched several spots.After it had finished cleaning it didn’t struggle to find the base station. It returned immediately and emptied on its own and started charging.I am extremely pleased with the dreame L10S Ultra Gen 2. I haven’t had a chance to use the mopping feature yet but I only plan to use it in my kitchen any way since the rest of my house is carpeted.One other thing I really like about the app is the ability to edit the map to set no go zones and no mopping areas.I couldn’t be happier with this robot vacuum and it it continues to perform well, I will hopefully get may years of use from this product. I have become a huge fan of the dreame products.
