Quiet
Much more quiet than any I’ve had previously. Odd, mid sized hose that comes with an adapter, but that didn’t fit any of my larger or smaller shop vac stuff. It was, however, easily adaptable to a smaller hose I had by wrapping it with duct tape to build up size to vac side of smaller hose. So now I have enough hose of a size that will fit my ceiling fan attachment and not have to hold a vacuum up off the floor or wear hearing protection to vacuum my ceiling fan blades.

Vacuum is still really loud, but otherwise a quality build
I was attracted to this vacuum by the âultra-quietâ description. I guess everything is relative; while other shop vacs might be louder, this 5 gal vac is still really loud. I think itâs borderline offensive to call it âultra quietâ because, objectively, it is not at all quiet. It is LOUD. Just maybe not quite as loud as other vacuums.

Fantastic Shop Vac
This is a great shop vac by trusted brand DeWalt. Assembly was quick and easy, essentially just placing and screwing on the wheels and installing the hose. Comes with six dust bags. The motor top attaches securely to the bucket with little chance of detaching if carrying by the handle. It is extremely quiet, much less noise to my other shop vacs. But it still has great suction power. I love the way the cord wraps around the handle and clips to itself to secure. My old shop vac had no way to secure the cord. Overall a great product at a good price.

Shockingly quiet but still sucks well
this is a great addition to my shop (which is already cleaner than it was yesterday). Out of the box, assembly is quite easy but you will need a screwdriver. Open the box and remove instructions and filters on the top, then pull out the vacuum and hose. There are also sections of the extension and the large floor attachment. Remove the top of the vacuum, and there are additional pieces inside – four sets of casters, the wet filter, and some additional attachments. After a few minutes, the wheels are on, the filters you want are installed, and you are ready to go. flip on the big switch and you will be pleasantly surprised at the noise – it is not quiet, but it is far, far quieter than your usual shop vacuum of similar size and power. But this noise improvement does not come at the loss of suction power. This thing cleans up like a bigger vacuum. I have an old vacuum of a different, reputable brand and the new one just does not compare – this Dewalt is much better at the cleaning jobs. There is a convenient power-cord wrap around the top handle and a big rubber band that holds the hose when wrapped around the body of the vacuum. The wheels roll easily and overall construction feels pretty solid. Highly recommended, even if your old vacuum still works (if only just for the quiet).

Powerful quiet shop vac
This DeWalt model DXV05P-QTA is the perfect size for our home restoration projects. It is physically small enough to store in a closet, and it comes with very long hoses to reach as far as any shop vac, regardless of size.It is such a relief to have a vacuum that you do not need to wear ear plugs. (The 1gal / 1HP shop vac we had for 20 years was so loud I had to wear ear plugs with it!)This 4HP (peak) vacuum from DeWalt measured 68 dB(A) at 1 meter, which is consistent with what other product testers measured. The end of the wedge tool measured 100 dB(A) up close but that reflects the sound of the higher air speed concentrated in the smaller opening, and not the noise of the motor/fan in the housing. The end of the open hose measured 82 dB(A) .Essentially, the vacuum itself is super quite compared to other units available. The tool tip noise is controllable as you can usually keep the end of the tool away from your head, thus maintaining a comfortable working environment.I am very pleased with the overall design of this DeWalt vac, its many thoughtful features, and all the attachments and bags that come with it.This vacuum is highly recommended.

Works well
The suction is pretty good. Definitely comparably to my other shop vacuum. It is quieter than the other vacuum, but I wouldn’t say this is really a quiet vacuum. It does come with a lot of accessories which are useful. I used this to vacuum out my car over the weekend and it was a bit easier to move around than the larger vacuum making it an ideal size for smaller needs. Assembly was easy too.

My first shop vac and regret I didn’t buy earlier!
This has been a great help to clean out my late father’s shop. He had power saws and table saws and used to sweep it out himself. This is sooo much easier. It will pick up anything and everything and is very easy to empty. It’s also surprisingly quiet given the power.Nice sturdy but easy to handle hose, very great piece of equipment. I have not tried liquids yet but I am confident it will work just as well.Recommended!
