nicely engineered and capable vac
Works nicely, especially with the additional 10′ extension hose I bought after I discovered the stretch of the original hose seems just too much in “spring” tension as it nears it’s limit,….I wanted to “easily” reach the entire garage, and to reach outside the garage if mounted very near the exit door. Now, with the extension (shown in pics) it easily services the entire garage as well as the driveway, reaching the rear of any vehicle if parked within 8 ft of the garage door. Suction is very good, (not excellent) and enough for my needs. Haven’t tried to suction water, but in my experience with wet/dry vacs, that’s never a problem. What I really like is the reduced noise of this vac with it’s included “muffler” mounted in the air exit port, and the ease of portability if desired. It removes easily from the wall bracket and is truly portable, making it a nice addition to the shop I have in the garage, saving the floor space of the previous 12 gallon vac with it’s rigid hose which was simply not easy to move around and use, having to drag it with the hose wherever you wanted to go. I’m satisfied, but I think a big improvement would be to make the length about 30 feet in all…..that would have saved me some ‘not-inconsiderable’ extra money outlayed, and made for an easy to reach 20 -25 feet usability. As it is now, with my extension, I’m tickled with this.

Excellent vacuum!
This is a great vacuum. VERY versatile, great suction power, and light weight. Extremely pleased with this vacuum. I just used the brush attachment to dust the blinds in our bedroom, and it worked very well. Super long hose, which is a huge plus! Highly recommended!!

Mounts on wall. And is easy to move.
Great vacuum. I didnât think I needed the remote . It connects easily and is very convenient when vacuuming the other side of garage.

Strong Suck AND Convenient
I have used a 16 HP Craftsman shopvac for 20 years. I got tired of moving it around, struggling to empty it, and the overall space it took up. Also, I wanted an easier way to connect dust collection to my power tools.The DeWalt has been great!-The bluetooth remote starts works great (note that you may need to change the battery shortly after purchase if it has sat for a while).-The suction is really good. To be clear, it’s not 16HP good, but it is still very good and I have no problem picking up dust and most other small things.-The 20 foot hose, while a little heavy at times, is perfect for getting my entire garage. I don’t see any reduction in suction due to the length. The weight of the hose isn’t THAT bad, and it is worth the tradeoff for sturdiness.-It is ridiculously easy to remove from the mount, empty, and return.-Lots of attachments. I do wish that it came with hose adapters for dust collection ports…I had a hard time finding adapters for the DeWalt hose and had to experiment (and jerry-rig) several before figuring out some of the scenarios.-On board attachment storage is nice.-Way cheaper than a dust collection system, but does the job admirably.

Great suction!
Dewalt is a reliable brand. This is a great shop vac. This shop vac is a corded shop vac and I made sure to purchase the corded one in particular as I didnât want a battery to worry about. I have a battery powered weed whip and a blower and I didnt want to have to charge anything. The cord is long on this vac though. The suction is very powerful on this. It is a bit heavy but nothing that is too much. All the extra accessories and tools are so nice. I just used this today for a sink faucet change and all the metal that fell while disassembling the old faucet this sucked it all up and made fast work of it. And the fact that I was able to hang this on the garage wall was a major plus. Definitely would purchase again.

I have a small metal workshop and have had numerous shop vacs from various companies over the last few years. Some cheaper and some really expensive. All have been less than ideal – not enough suction, always tipping over, dangerously loud etc., etc. I’ve got other Dewalt power tools and have always been impressed, so I thought I’d take a chance on this vacuum. I am impressed.First off, the suction is amazingly powerful. Big wads of metal shavings that were impossible to vacuum up before now just quickly disappear. Very impressed.Secondly (and perhaps just as important), this vacuum is quiet. It’s not silent, but it’s at least half the volume of other shop vacuums I’ve used. Extremely impressed.Comes with all the attachments you’d ever need. Oh, the main hose is long and flexible. Easy to stretch out to full length, and easy to coil up and stow. It’s VERY flexible – not at all like the stiff plastic hoses most shop vacuums typically come with. In my small shop the long hose reaches everywhere, so I don’t need to move the vacuum around.Like other reviewers here I too thought the wireless remote was kinda silly. Hoo boy was I wrong! It’s been the biggest time saver. Who’d’ve thought you spend so much time walking over to your shop vacuum switching in on and off…I managed to get this from Amazon Warehouse for a very good price. Description said “Condition: acceptable. Does NOT come in original box.” Well, it came in the original box. The box had been opened, and the clear plastic bag the whole vacuum is in was plainly torn open at the top, but the vacuum appears to have never been removed from the box. It was clearly untouched and had never been unpacked. Thanks, Amazon!So, if you’re tired of wrestling with cheap shop vacuums, just bite the bullet and buy this one and get on with your life, never having to worry about a shop vacuum again.Recommended.
