I bought this to suck up on the environmental debris on my interlocking brick patio. First, itâs very easy to get started with it and it feels reasonably sturdy. Itâs not that loud. My dog wasnât overly fussed about the noise. However, I found the suction power is not strong enough on the uneven surface and I had to use an attachment to get at the debris sitting lower. . But that meant on my hands and knees and even then it wasnât able to suck up stuff. I tried using the blower feature to bring some debris up but that was so weak it was pointless. That feature is best for light dust on even surfaces. You will need an extension cord because this doesnât travel far. Did it get the job done? Mostly. For the price, this works.

Must have tool for dirty jobs!
Long story short, had standing water in my basement in the floor drain. More water was going to be coming in before it could be serviced. How to get the water out? This thing! This model may not hold a lot, but it does the job, and does it well. No frills, but extremely user friendly. Highly reliable, sucked up gallons upon gallons of water with no fuss. (Need to empty regularly, though.) Seriously, at this price point, it’s a steal and you’ll thank yourself for having it when problems it’s designed to resolve arise. Thanks, Dewalt!

Great for small workshop
Got this Dewalt 5Gal. shop vac to replace an old 15Gal shop vac (different brand) the after 10+ years finally died. This Dewalt 5Gal unit is perfect for my 450 Sq Ft workshop. It’s easy to move around and has plenty of vacuum power for sucking up sawdust and other workshop debris. My only dislike is the unit does not have mounting points for the stowage of the attachments.

Nice shop vac.
We looked for a shop vac that actually had metal wheels as we’ve had several with plastic wheels that just didn’t hold up. I was pleasantly surprised at the noise level from this DeWalt shop vac. I have much smaller hand-held ones that put out way more noise than this one. The suction is great. Rolls easily. Has nice length of cord and nice attachments. The fact that it can act as a blower was a bonus as we weren’t looking for that in a shop vac. Of course, it’s not as powerful as our regular blower we generally use but this one does work pretty well. So far, we’ve never been let down by any of our DeWalt purchases, so would definitely recommend.
