Can’t find a single fault. Works well, has power and runs quite long on 5Amp battery pack. The belt clip is a game changer. Can’t compete with a shop vac but it is so much versatile. Picks sand from the garage floor with the pictured extension which is far from ideal due to the sparse brushes.My wife wants one for the kitchen now ð

I was looking for another handheld vac for the car, as I have been using a Black & Decker 20v (BDH2000PL), but find that the bin fills up quickly, and the dirt often clogs up the basket filter protector, and filter. My son in law loves Dewalt tools, and he recommended this unit. What a find! I could not be more impressed with the performance of this unit, in terms of strength of suction power, and the portability of the tool. It is a bit larger than the BD unit, but the hepa filter does not seem to clog or get much dust stuck on it, based on the design of the unit. Have vacuumed that car 3 times now, as well as the kitchen area in the home, and the bin holds quite a bit and suction does not suffer or degrade. I get about 45 minutes out of my 4AMP battery, and will have to see how the unit performs with the new 5AMP battery that arrives today. Highly recommend this unit if you are needing a strong portable hand held vacuum cleaner, or dust collector. Check out vids on Youtube showing the versatility of this unit.

The only flaw is that the filter needs regular cleaning.
This is without a doubt the best hand vac I’ve ever owned. While a Dyson has an amazing vortex filtration system where you don’t have to clean the filter, it also has three major drawbacks in that the battery pack is not quick change, the cleaning power is quite low, and they’re fairly expensive. Our Dyson V8 which we just got rid of would go about maybe 4 minutes on high power? Pathetic. On a 5AH battery this DeWalt will go 15-20 minutes easy. If you have two or three of the DeWalt 20 volt batteries lying around in this thing is an absolute must. I happen to have at least eight of these batteries and you can vacuum pretty much indefinitely at full power on this thing with instantaneous battery swaps. And it uses the same battery as my blower drills saws flashlights etc. That is so awesome.In a future version DeWalt should include a vortex style dust separator like a lot of the other vacs then this thing would be pretty much perfect. Noise level is pretty reasonable. The headlight on this thing works very well. The floor attachment in the photo is extremely simple and robust but it works very well on smooth floors and short pile carpet and gets under and around furniture very impressively. There is no attachment with a carpet beater bar but those things tend to get wound up with fibers and stop working for one reason or another. (Looking at you Dyson.)As you might tell I’m pretty heavily bought into the DeWalt 20 volt system as I use power tools all day long. I went with DeWalt because the quality is pretty high, the tool selection is extremely good, the prices are fair, and the batteries are bulletproof. The one thing is their batteries are just too expensive. You can also get Waitley knock off batteries that are quite a bit cheaper, I have both DeWalt and Waitley batteries. I have 12-year-old dewalt lithium batteries that are still perfectly fine, where as the Dyson lithium batteries gave up the ghost after about 3 years. I will probably get a second one of these vacs.

Awesome little vac
“I really like this vacuum! So far, I’ve used it indoors and in the car, and for being battery-powered, it has enough power to get the job done. I showed it to my friends, and they were impressed. It does get noisy during operation, but it’s just regular vacuum noise.A quick note: I’ve dropped it twice, so make sure to only pick it up by the handle to avoid accidentally pressing the release button for the dust container. The build quality is solid, and I like the overall compact design.One downside is that the filters can clog quickly depending on where it’s used, and there’s no protection to prevent large debris from getting in. To solve this, I cut a roll of fine window mesh and made a DIY pre-filter, which works great.When it comes to cleaning the filter, I wasn’t satisfied with just dusting it off, so I decided to quickly rinse it under running water. I’ll monitor how it holds up and have already ordered new replacements as a backup.Also, while the attachments fit tightly, it wouldâve been better if they had a “shove and twist” attachment style using grooves for a more secure fit.Overall, this vacuum offers excellent value!”

Such a cool vacuum!
Hands down the most versatile and useful vacuum I have ever had. It is so nice having a handheld, battery powered vacuum that can be used for most surfaces. With all the added accessories that come with this vacuum it is easy to vacuum the floor, rugs, work surfaces and more. Great for vacuuming out my truck. I keep this in my shop to vacuum up saw dust and other debris. I can use it in the kitchen to vacuum the hard floor. The filter is easy to shake clean or replace. The dust collection is easy to dump. DeWalt did a great job with this vacuum, it is much lighter than the similar vacuum from Milwaukee.

Great suction and performance
Wow, what a nice surprise. This little unit works better than expected. I am a DEWALT user, have many batteries, this purchase (especially with the sale price) was well worth it. Simple to use, filters can be easily cleaned, and the attachments are all you need. Suction is better than expected. The only problem I have is that my wife used it once and now I cant get it back into my shop. I recommend this purchase.
