so far so good, my other DeWalt wet/dry shop vac got flooded and would not work, so craftsman ship is in question.

Beautiful shop vac that checks all the boxes
I’ve owned 4 shop vacs over my “storied career” as a jack of all trades and this is the first time I can recall being impressed by one. The vac is nicely built, has great suction, and yes it is indeed noticeably quieter than shop vacs I’ve owned. The little satchel that attaches to it’s back for accessories is very practical and well thought out. Most I’ve owned had no satchel, some had snap in brackets on the side (where the attachments are always in the way and getting knocked off) or they have a cheap compartment for them whose lid won’t stay closed and keep them in place very well. This satchel approach is practical, works, and is made to look nice while mounted. As with most shop vacs the filters run between $12-$15 bucks each and the Dewalt filter has what looks like a proprietory mounting arrangement. So far, I have experienced no issues with it. I do like the bagged pre-filter which will greatly protect the more expensive filter ahead of the motor. All in all, a well engineered vacuum for your shop or garage.

Dewalt Means What They Say
I truly expected this vac to be another in a line of ultra quiet products that sure don’t sound all too quiet. Nay, this actually is well suppressed. Compared to my decade old but infrequently used Craftsman Shop Vac, this is a totally different beast. Great job on the sound reduction, folks.It isn’t just the sound of this vac that I enjoy. It has a much more solid feel. Every aspect does, really. This is a very well made tool. The dust collection system is much more advanced than what I had on the old Craftsman.I guess I’ll be putting the old guy up for sale. I just found my new shop vac. A new era begins!

Quiet, powerful, well designed
I have an old Rigid shop vac that is running ok but has some limitations. This one from DeWalt overcomes most of those old-school shop vac issues for me. The only things the old vac has more of is capacity that I donât really need (16gal vs 10gal) and raw power (6.67hp vs 5hp). The power difference is hardly noticeable and a good trade off for me in my garage at home.The SeWalt is so much easier to use. The size takes up less floor space and the rollers ill smoothly. The noise level seems to meet the specs. Very quiet, although I still wear earplugs because there is wind noise at the tool end when in use. I love the tool and extra bag caddy. Super helpful and functional because itâs big enough to actually hold things.I like the disposable bag feature. I very rarely need to do a wet vacuum and if I do, the bag is easy to remove. More often, I have dusty crap I need to dispose of and the bag makes it easier. It also saves filters, which is great.You can see and hear the vac in action cleaning out my smoker in the video I uploaded.I cleaned out the straw fragments left in the van and this did a great job there too. That requires some power to get the bits out of the fiber. Additionally, all the tools are well made.The vac has a metal canister and a small grounding chain on the bottom. This prevents the occasional static shock I used to get from the Rigid, which was plastic bodied.So, love this vac!

DeWalt Has Done It Again!!!
What an amazing looking piece of machinery. I love DeWalt and have a lot of their tools. Beyond the color scheme, I’ve come to expect quality and reliability from these tools….and they haven’t let this DIYer down yet. This is a pretty quiet shop vac. I compared it with two other shop vacs I have, and the decibel level of this vacuum is significantly less harsh (for lack of a better word). You can definitely hear it (though it IS muted, but the pitch isn’t as sharp and hard on the ears. Despite the softness in sound, it’s a powerful wet/dry vacuum. Comes with dust bags, a dust filter, two extension arms and several attachments for the car and shop cleanup. One of the coolest attachments for me was the included adapter that allows me to hook this up to my table and miter saws for dust collection!! Didn’t expect it, but definitely appreciate it! Setup was very simple. I just had to attach the wheels and install the fiter. The instructions were straightforward and clear. Overall, the clean design and intuitive features definitely make this my new favorite shop vac.
