Replacement battery
I didnât know the serial number on my Dyson vacuum (purchased 15 years ago). Called Customer service at Dyson, no help at all without the serial number. So I read a lot of reviews on different batteries on Amazon and purchased this one. So far itâs doing the job and the battery lasts about 30 minutes on a charge.

Connection to charger.

Does not connect properly
Other than not working because the connection tabs do not line up properly with the contacts on the vacuum cleaner. They are not in quite the same orientation as the original battery. Will not run when you pull the trigger. Battery charges up fine but a rather intermittent start or no start at all. Original battery still works normal but it runs out of juice in about a minute.

Good fit, capacity and longetivity
This battery replaced my original one on my 3 year old Dyson V8 stick vac that was giving me random shut-off problems. This replacement came packed securely, including battery, 2 replacement filters, cleaning tool and small Phillips screwdriver (not pictured). Unfortunately the 3 replacement screws shown in the Amazon product description weren’t included. No problem as I was able to reuse the original screws. Removal of the OEM battery was easy and the new battery fit perfectly and all screw holes lined up well. I placed the vac into my wall holder/charger until the blue charging indicator stopped blinking. I was able to use the vacuum for about 15 minutes on full suction before plugging back into the charger with 1 of 3 LEDs lit. It seems the new battery solved the intermittent shutdown issue. The only problem I’ve noticed is that the battery is slightly thicker and fits VERY VERY tight into the wall holder. I have to forcefully yank the vacuum out of the holder, as can be seen by the scuff marks in the close-up photo of the battery. I’m hoping it will gradually loosen the more I slide it in and out with use. I am satisfied with the price and performance of this replacement.

Better than the original battery
More powerful than the original was gonna purchase from Dyson but I couldnât beat this deal. The battery came already charged tat was a plus once I installed it was ready to go.

Great value for the money
This battery is a bit bigger than the stock one but it fit right into place. Im enjoying the longer run time too.
