For pro’s,serious diy,NOT! for the average diyPro’s,serious diy buy it! THEY will recognize the importance of 12 point sockets. Sometimes you need 1 and nothing else will work. This set has pretty much all the 12 point sockets you will need! Ya..COMPLETE socket set!! NO MISSING SIZES!!! WOW WHAT A CONCEPT. 10mm to 19mm and 5/16 to 7/8..regular and deep.The case is to die for. As said..ALL sizes within the range. METAL hinge pins in the case.$36 Cdn shipped to my doorThe above being said..5 stars.Oh yeah..the ratchet. Sure,,there are PLENTY!! of BAD reviews on this ratchet. I figured maybe..mine would be ok. I bit. Well..the rest of the set was more than worth it anyway.It looked ok..pretty good! I picked it up,felt great,action,reverse lever. I put a good size deep socket on it to feel it out a bit more. Felt great..pretty strong..not flimsy..I mean..how hard can one test it/twist it just holding the socket in your hand to create tension. Sure..could not really test it any further. Backed off the pressure on the handle..I guess to back it back up..ratchet it backward a bit. The handle did not move backward. HUNH??? The thing ACTUALLY JAMMED IN MY BARE HANDS. What a disgrace to the Craftsman brand!I will so NEVER trust this thing again. Back to the jammed ratchet. I go to move the reverse lever..won’t move one way..OR THE OTHER. JAMMED. Just a COMPLETELY WORTHLESS POS!!! Sadder is that LITERALLY right beside this socket set is another Craftsman set with a ratchet that I have used a lot! Ya..as in ZERO problems..I bought it in the mid 1970’s Throw away the ratchet. Why even bother to return it for another pos? They would probablly make you send it all back anyway. The average diy does not need 12 point sockets anyway..now he needs to buy a ratchet. Average diy..ya..forget this set. Pro’s,serious diy..5 stars Thank You Amazon.

These are the tools my dad used. It was always Craftsman from Sears. He loved them because of the lifetime warranty. No receipts, no questions, just bring it back and get it replaced.This set is great for home projects and working around the house. We got it for working on bikes, but it can be used for much more. Excellent tool set.

Ratchet stripped within 2 months but was sent an upgrade free
So my husband had it for less than 2 months and used it only a few times on basic things . While installing tow mirrors on his truck , the gears stripped out inside the ratchet. It was completely unusable. And only after mild using within 2 months. Called Craftsman and they sent a new one free of charge, actually a better one, in the mail. Only issue is it doesn’t fit in the case. All other pieces in this case have worked fine. The sockets are engraved with the size. Pieces do not fall out of their spot while transporting case. Case is very tough and durable.
