Quite the Upgrade!
***1 YEAR UPDATE***We bought and moved into a bigger house. I will say there was an issue with saving the mapping of the new house. I ended up having to Uninstall the app and then reinstall it back onto my phone and then there was no more issues. We still LOVE the Coredy SL200 vacuum. We have it set to run and clean approximately 900 square feet daily. The biggest downfall is when running the vacuum with the mopping module when it is complete and goes back to the charging station, if you have old original hardwood floors like we do it does cause some minor floor damage. It would be great if there was a base plate attached to the charging base to prevent floor damage from the wet mopping pad.Considering everything, I still really love this vacuum.I got the Coredy SL200 vacuum 2 days ago as an upgrade to my current Coredy R550, which I had received as a Christmas present (and loved) from my mom 2 years ago. When I opened the box, i was shocked on how large the vacuum actually was. It came with a few attachments such as the side brush, dustbin and charging dock. It was really really easy to assemble even without the provided instructions. I love that the dustbin is on top under the vacuum cover. Makes it easier to remove to empty.I especially like the charging dock cable feature where I can wrap the extra cable into the bottom of the charging dock to keep the extra cable out of the way and clutter free. Another great feature is that the cleaning tool is kept inside the vacuum near the filter dock so it can easily be used and returned to safe keeping so not to get lost. The Coredy SL200 is controlled with the Coredy app. Setting up the app was really easy with the step by step instructions provided. The vacuum starts by mapping the layout of the house, then runs around the edges of the rooms and then runs in the row pattern. It is very efficient and more thorough than my older Coredy model.Battery life on this vacuum is great as right now with the size of my house that we have the vacuum cleaning it only uses about 50% or less of the battery.I have not been able to try the mopping feature as I purchased the mopping module but it was out of stock so I am currently waiting for it to be restocked and sent. So once I receive the mopping module, I will try it out and update this review. But as of right now, completely loving this smart vacuum!
Bobby Everly –
SL200 overall is a great device.
So far, the Coredy SL200 has been working great for us. I started out by having my wife do the set up. She is not the best with technology between the two of us, so we thought it would be the best way to review it. We previously owned the Coredy 750 for about 3 years. So, a lot of the review will be the comparison.Packaging – was fine no issues.Set up – My wife was able to set up the device and have it working in a short time frame with no issues. The mapping, there is a mapping option where you can have multiple zones, very useful with our current home. Mapping program will start with outline of the room, then fill in the room, you can track the map on the app. Also, with the mapping, if the machine needs to recharge, or be emptied it will pick up where it left off on the map. The 750 did not have this feature.Cleaning power – there are different levels of cleaning power you can set depending on your needs. We have rugs, hard floors and trim, this machine has no issues transferring between the services and cleaning.Battery – So far, we have had the device 3 weeks. The battery power has not been an issue. The 750 began to degrade after 2 years and was only would only last half the time. Only time will tell how long this battery will remain in great condition.Operation:- Programing – We have our SL200 set to automatically clean at the same time every night while we go to bed, this way we can get up, empty it and not be disturbed throughout the day. We had the same feature with the 750.- Remote – The 750 came with a remote and had a remote feature on the app, both were very user friendly. The SL200 only has the remote on the app. The downside is every time you attempt to change direction the SL200 stops running when you change its direction.-Getting stuck – The 750 had sensor strips you could lay down to prevent the device from going into areas. The SL200 this can be accomplished with the mapping. The 750 would get stuck often because it would not stop or redirect when it hit the sensor strips. The SL200 does have a sensor that sticks up about an inch off the machine, and this part can often get stuck when going under certain furniture in the house, once stuck it normally will shut down as it is not able to free itself.Overall, we are pleased with the SL200 as well as the customer service we had prior to ordering it. We recommend.
