Weak Suction and Poor Battery Performance â
The Cordless Vacuum Cleaner for DeWALT 20v/18v Battery was a major disappointment. Despite the promising features like a brushless motor and 20Kpa suction, the vacuum barely picks up dirt and struggles with pet hair or debris on hardwood floors.The battery life is abysmal, lasting only a short time even on the lower suction mode. The construction feels cheap, and the attachments donât connect securely. For a product advertised as powerful and versatile, it falls far short of expectations. I wouldnât recommend this vacuum; itâs not worth the cost or frustration.

Great little stick vacuum.
This little vacuum turned out to be exactly what I wanted and expected. It is very easy to use, with its 360 knuckle action of the rotating brush gets in all those little corners, cracks alongside a chair or recliner or couch plus it uses the batteries I already have for my Dewalt tools, that saves a lot even though this is not made by Dewalt, its yellow matches the Dewalt perfectly. The easy to extend shaft is very convenient to use and store. The attachments click into place and are great for those floor edges and car foot wells and seats. Some people have complained about the soft bristles in the rotary brush but I have found not problem with this whether picking up tracked in leaves or dropped crumbs either on carpet or wood floors.We have a small house and with the larger battery I have no problem vacuuming our little house from top to bottom. I actually have two of the appropriate batteries so even if it does die on me part way through, I have another to finish the job, just haven’t needed it yet.Only down side is also what I expected, the dirt container is small and needs emptied often. But I expected that and it has much more capacity than my little robot vacuum and needs emptying far less often. The container is easy to clean. I can see I will have to replace the hepa filter from time to time but if you have an air compressor, it is easy to get really clean. I am surprised that they don’t supply a small stiff brush to brush out the dust and brush it off the filters with a narrow handle to lift out hair that gets wrapped around all vacuum brushers, but I use the one that came with my HUVI robot vac.Now does it take the place of the traditional vacuum? Well of course not. We still use ours. But I bought this to do those everyday clean ups especially during fall when we track in leaves many times a day and I can quickly and easily suck up the leaves, little bits of gravel and around where I eat, I am messy. Bits of popcorn, cracker crumbs and so on. So a big thumbs up for this great little intermediate vac.

Doesnât work
1. New dewalt batteries die after 15min with this thing, 2. It has no suction, hardly picks up dirt off the floor. 3. Overheats when used on carpet and turns off. 4. Canât empty it out without digging your fingers up inside. Worst waste of $120 Iâve spent in a long time.Just threw mine in the trash after using in 5 times because it never once worked properly.

Does not work very well
Does not work very well,more of a powered broom than a vacuum does fine for floors but not carpet and doesnât pick up anything very big like anything bigger than cat litter and doesnât really pick that up very well either. Iâd say if youâre looking for a dust buster ð, if your looking for a lightweight hand held vacuum spend more money ð°:)

Not enough power, does not even suck up little pieces of plastic and cereal.
We wanted to use this device for ‘spot’ vacuuming. It does not have enough suction power.

use the BIG dewalt battery
its not as powerful as the $200 shark, but if you use the big battery, it does pretty good for quick clean ups, and you can change out the battery to complete the whole house, and the SHARK will not do that, the shark dies, and you have to wait on the shark to re-charge, so this is a good compromise. but it does not “deep clean” it pushes big stuff around, but it does great on grit/dirt/dust on hard wood. and its adjustable, so little kids LOVE using it.

Vaccum On
Received my vacuum yesterday. I was anxious to see how it handled pet hair and picking up dirt the dogs come in the house with, and i was not disappointed in it performance. The suction was great, picked up on either speed. My test of suction is to take my shoes off after vacuuming the kitchen floor, where the dogs get most of the sandy dirt, and walk around on the floor. It was great, no sandy dirty residue, very clean. I haven’t used it long enough to tell you about battery life, i am hoping for at least 45 minutes to an hour. Assembly was quick and easy, we already had three batteries charged up so i was ready to go.Great purchase, just remember to really read that there is NO BATTERY included in the purchase. I noticed people complained about this in their reviews. We have several Dewalt tools that require the 20v battery so I was ready when it arrived.

THIS IS JUNK; DO NOT BUY!
DOES NOT DESERVE ONE STAR!!!!I looked at a lot of cordless vacuums to vacuum out my tour van. I liked this one for the accessories and the swivel head. It also was rated as having a lot of suction.BUT it sucks because it doesn’t suck.THIS THING WILL BARELY PICK UP ANYTHING ON THE HIGHEST SETTING. I RETURNED THIS AND IT WAS THE FIRST THING I HAVE EVER RETURNED TO AMAZON. TOTAL JUNK. IT’S YELLOW BUT NOT DEWALT BRAND EVEN THOUGH IT USES DEWALT BATTERIES.SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND MONEY, JUST BUY THE ACTUAL DEWALT ONE LIKE I DID AFTER RETURNING THIS POS!

I had really high hopes for this vacuum that I decided to buy it without seeing any reviews. The idea of using one of our many dewalt batteries made this so attractive. I did not expect dyson level quality but this vacuum performs so poorly on carpet it is dismal. I did 2 passes with this vacuum and I got some dog hair and debris in the canister (golden retriever in the house!) but did not even come close to filling it. I then did a single pass with the dyson on low (over the exact same spot) and got 4 times the hair and debris in the cannister. This vacuum works slightly better on hard floors but not enough to justify the cost. Lesson learned.
