I think i will like this vacuum very much
Newly arrived and used. I think i will like this vacuum very much. It was a very nice replacement for a 24 yo Panasonic upright which I loved. The “gliding” is nice evn over thick carpets. it has a greg “bumper” and is gentle near furniture. GForyunately the cord is a generous length too. Found there was a little “trick” to installing handle (not well described in accompanying operation book). I fear the PLASTIC wheels may not be real sturdy (arrived broken) but replacement van was immediately sent in tact.LOcal servicing for “warranty” may be a problem. The local vacuum shop was very angry with me for buying on line (at more than $200 savings) and says he won’t be coin g future repairs if I request them- “you get what you order”- he wanted over $500 and insisted on providing a 5 year in shop warranty which I didn’t want. When I contact Cirrus, this individual IS listed as the nearest warranty provider- we’ll see. So far it purrs when it runs and is fun to use.

This thing really sucks!……..in a good way.
I like things to be simple and effective. This thing will not filter your air, make creamy peanut butter, or charge your EV, but it vacuums really well. The parts that matter are all metal and should last forever. There are very few moving parts, switches and buttons to change or make it go. Just a very good basic vacuum cleaner for the long haul.Accessories are right at hand, mounted to the back of the bag handle. Perfect. One thing that I really don’t like, after using a canister vac for decades, is the cord that has to be wound up every time it’s used. Small concession for the quality of the machine and the job it does though.

Did not power up out of the box
Opened up brand new sealed unit. Put a couple of thingâs together and hit the power switch and nothing. Contacted the seller and nothing but a stupid answer. Very disappointed

CR-79 (owned for going on six years)
Bought this from a vacuum shop in 2018. I have NO regrets but I will touch on a few things. This vacuum has many names over the years and there are several on the market under different names. Prolux, Airway… There are some differences in them but I’m pretty sure they’re made at the same factory..It’s definitely better than something you would get at a big box store… (build wise) but it’s not going to be as premium as a Sebo or Miele or something like that… still.. It has a very good motor and strong suction and from what I understand, it’s a sealed vacuum…Operating costs: HEPA bags (cirrus type A HEPA), Belts (UB8), and the actual HEPA filter are all inexpensive in comparison to the other brands such as Prolux. For example, when it’s time to change your Prolux HEPA filter it’s $44 from what I’ve seen online. This Cirrus HEPA? $13 (as from the time of this review)Build quality: I have zero issues with the build quality other than the handle itself… Even though I never picked it up by the actual handle, but by the top of the bag compartment there is a handle that you can pick it up from… even still, the handle still came apart right where the on/off switch is… This was around the 4 to 5 year mark. I ordered a replacement handle online and fixed it (cheap)… Other than that, nothing is failling apart on it… and I use this as my daily driver pretty much… By that I mean I vacuum at least 3 times per week..Extension hose (if you see the picture) I HIGHLY recommend getting one of those 12 foot extension hoses with tools (they are about $39 to $49 as of this review) Pull the wand out and connect the hose to that (you may need an adapter) and you can clean all over the freaking place… There are tools on board the vacuum. I don’t like them. I never use them…I like the better tools that come with the hose kit.. I honestly think this saves the hose from wear… My hose is still in top condition..Maintenance is easy: Two tabs pulls the bottom plate off for access to the belt and brushroll which comes out easily…. there’s a little plastic seal that pops out and the brush roll just comes it. It’s a very high quality metal brushroll… If you have higher pile carpet these may go through belts faster.. My carpet is berber and the belts seem to last me 1 to 2 years. Changing the bag is pretty easy… You just pull out (carefully) the old bag and push in (carefully) the new one… sort of pushing it and moving it side to side until it’s snugly on… The HEPA bags keep the bag compartment spotless. You can buy paper bags but I don’t recommend them..When I bought this vacuum in 2018, It was around $379 dollars (give or take)… Now it’s $over 500! Crazy… That’s getting to the price where I almost don’t think they’re worth that… they are about a $400 dollar vacuum in my opinion. At these prices you could spend just a slight bit more and get a SEBO.. I have no doubt though that this will last me a lot longer. It just feels like it’s going to keep going as long as I take care of it… and even though I use it a lot… I take care of it and maintain it… which should be done with any vacuum.

Our second Cirrus
We had a Cirrus that died and would have cost too much to fix. Wanted another, and purchased this one. We really like it, but if anything happens to it I think we would go back to the Pet Version which is one step higher. It has a separate power control which is nice to use on area rugs. However, this is good as well. Cirrus is a very substantially built machine and hope it will last a long time.

my Clients love the job it does in their Homes but when …
I clean Homes and this is my 2nd Cirrus, my Clients love the job it does in their Homes but when I received this one the height adjustment was not attached and I had to take it to my sweeper Guy to attach it!! Cost $20.00…a real inconvenience!!

My company bought (4) Cirrus CR79 vacuums 1.5 years ago.3 of 4 vacuums have broken foot lever which is spring loaded and mounted to plastic posts.Part is not available and company will not warranty or let us even purchase the housing needed. Now 3 vacuums only work on floors(not carpet)Very dissatisfied

Great vacuum cleaner
Years ago I bought an Eureka vacuum cleaner. That thing has lasted us 10 years! This company bought out Eureka. This new vacuum cleaner has the same design features as my old Eureka. I hope this one lasts me another 10 years or more.
