I purchased this piece of crap exactly two years ago. Within 10 months the entire machine was non functioning, falling apart mess….normal hardwood and ceramic floors mostly. It comes with a “5” year warranty. In the end I spent over $300.00 in repairs that were apparent from the day I first used it. I can count at least 5 different non functioning parts to this piece of junk. Yet, the “authorzed repair” center charged me to repair what did not work when I bought the piece of junk. DO NOT buy this piece of junk, nor it’s sister sweeper, the Simplicity, both made by the same comapany. The Simplicity was even worse and both are over priced retail, and even on line they are not worth the money. The repaired Cirrus is now without the flap that covers the hole near the base in the middle. Disgraceful service by the distributors. Great vacuum for the money, it has metal parts, takes a bag and has a all metal motor. The previous review is puzzling because Cirrus uprights do not have a high repair reputation, they’re actually sold a lot for janitorial and commercial use. The comment about Simplicity vacuums was also wrong they are made by Tacony in Missouri, American made and Cirrus is a Essco brand made in Taiwan. These two companies have no connection at all. My final comment is you will definitely get your money’s worth out of this Cirrus vacuum, built better than the competition in it’s price range.
