This is the second brush attachment that hasn’t fit my vacuum hose. The bristles are lovely and soft, and it came quickly. But I can’t use it! I measured the diameter of my vacuum hose prior to ordering so it should have been fine. But it isn’t. And I’m sick of paying for things only to have to return them or lose my money. Be warned: even if you measure it may not fit.

Larger Size Brush Prevents Bristle Collapse
This large 3-inch outside diameter brush has over an inch of inner diameter clearance so the bristles don’t collapse and block the airflow. Smaller dusting brushes suck the soft bristles inward blocking the airflow and creating a “dust dam” that keeps the dust from entering the vacuum hose.About the size: This dusting brush attachment would fit INSIDE a wand with a 1.5 in. (38mm) inside diameter, since the OUTSIDE diameter of the neck of this attachment tapers from about 1.45 in. (37mm) to about 1.55 in. (39mm). The INSIDE diameter of the dusting brush attachment is about 1.30 in. (33mm) so it won’t fit snugly with most 1.25 in. (32mm) wands unless the wands taper larger. I’m using it with a Cen-Tec Systems 34553 wand that has an outer diameter that tapers from about 31.5mm to 33mm. If it fits your wand, it’s a nice brush.

Well…..not sure what this connected to….
The outside diameter is 1-3/8 and the inside diameter is 1-1/4. It does not connect to anything I own. It is a Cen-Tec device and I have Can-Tec hoses and adapters and it still does not fit any of them. Looks like a return.

You will need to wrap in tape to get a snug fit.
This product was ever so slightly too narrow for the hose of my vacuum cleaner however, a few wraps of tape around the neck and it inserted snugly and worked fine. It seemed a little pricey but I didn’t have to leave the house to go get it. I did have to delay my project to wait for the two day delivery.

Manufacturer sizes wrong
Measurement is off. I even had my engineer husband measure my vac so I could order the right size. Nope. Doesnât fit. I gave up. Very frustrated.

Watch the fine print
The brush is nice and does what I wanted. I bought this brush because it was listed when I searched for a 2″ brush because I have a 2″ ShopVac. Unfortunately I read the description to quickly and missed the notation that it fits a 1.5 nozzle. I rigged up an adapter and can now use it.

Fits well and works great!
Finally! I have been trying to find a brush for my Shark Apex vacuum since I bought it. This one is a great fit and it works well!

Good 1.5″ Commercial Style Vacuum Brush
As another reviewer stated, this brush has a 1.5″ (38mm) OD neck for inserting into the inside of a 1.5″ Shop-Vac hose. (Most Shop-vac “industrial / contractor” units use a 1.5″ hose. Specifically, mine is a Shop-Vac 5 Gallon 6.5 peak HP unit.) It was a bit difficult finding 1.5″ attachments, and more difficult confirming they would actually fit my vacuum. This brush works well, appears to be of high quality materials and construction and was a bargain at ~$10 compared to others I looked at.

I use this for my car, it has nice brushes to it and clean the car without scratching surfaces,Using this for areas that I need to extract dust and small debris while I don’t want to scratch (like cockpit) it wasn’t perfect fit for my DeWalt Vacuum cleaner, I used some heat and shaped the inlet a bit and it fitted nicely 🙂

I was excited about the price and the horse hair brush. Unfortunately doesn’t fit my Miele Solaris Turbo Plus vacuum so I have to return. Thankful for the great return policy at Amazon, it keeps me ordering!
