I eagerly awaited delivery of the Capture cleaning powder only to discover that we couldn’t use it. We learned only in the fine print that Capture Pre Mist ($41.29) must be purchased separately and used before the powder is applied. Together with the powder, $52.49, it was all too costly. We returned the item. BUT, they made us pay for the postage, $10-+!!

I bought this to try on a pure wool area rug that had some staining. I had the rug in the back of my SUV and some dark brown cedar mulch bags I purchased were a bit too juicy inside and leaked on the drive home staining the rug. Instead of having the rug dry cleaned I thought I would give this product a try. I used it exactly as instructed. The staining did not come out, but the rug smells lovely. I then used it on another larger wool rug in my living room and again, several stains did not come out but I feel the rug does look somewhat rejuvenated. The cost was more expensive compared to other products, so would I buy it again at the same price? I donât think so, but perhaps if it was a better price I might be inclined to buy it again as a rug refresher.

The combo of the spray and powder work great for quick cleaning of rugs.
I loved the simplicity of the product. I cleaned two off white carpets that have never been commercially cleaned. I was amazed. Don’t rush the time it takes to dry. Once it is dry, the vacuum results is amazing.

At times better than wet type products
Used to clean a white sofa material. Can easily clog your vacuum when cleaning up – but worth a try.

Better than expected
My carpet is 23 years old, light beige, and has endured multiple pets and their stains so I managed my expectations that this product could not make it look like new. All I was hoping for was to freshen it and fluff up the pile. Honestly, I was really pleased that it did more than that. It took away the stale odor, reduced the stains, and did fluff up the pile very nicely. I followed the directions to the letter but I also added a carpet rake that I had from another cleaning. I would recommend doing the same. You have to vacuum multiple times to get up all of the powder/sand-like cleaner. But itâs far less messy and time consuming than renting a shampoo-er and I think the results are better. My room is 8×8 and there was enough to do the part of the room I needed – the rest is taken up by furniture. Also, I covered the area thickly. Will buy again ðð¼

Carpet cleaner
Omg. I canât believe how this cleaned my area wool rugs. I have an older dogâ¦ 18 yearsâ¦ who has a lot of accidents . I wanted to clean my rugs but didnât want to send it out so I bought this product!! Itâs a life saver!!! All spots can out and my rug looks like new! Please buy the spay that you use before you use the powder. It makes a world of difference! Just reordered!!

I discovered this product 30 years ago and haven’t been able to find it for the last 10 years. I’m delighted to have it in my cleaning cupboard again. Between pets & young grandchildren my rugs get a workout. Spots treated with the Capture Duo of Pre-mist spray to loosen the dirt & absorbing Microsponges, capture & pull the stain right out of the carpet fibres. Can also be used on heavy traffic areas.Great product!

I have black carpets, so normally dirt and marks don’t show up very well on the carpet at all. However the matted marks from high traffic areas turn an unsightly light grey. I bought this hoping i wouldn’t have to buy or rent a carpet cleaner, as i really don’t have the money for it. But in hindsight i would have just gotten a carpet cleaner.I used the powder in my bedroom, and it did, i will not lie, it did make it very obvious where some stains would have been if i had lighter coloured carpet, ( AKA the spew next to my bed when my partner got so drunk and decided to throw up on the floor, and THEN scoop it into the bucket. ), it clung to the stain and all my other carpet once i brushed it in. I vacuumed it up with little to no issue ( I have a Dyson V11 absolute/pro/thingy), but I was a little disappointed with how little really came up. The vomit are was much better, and the carpets felt lovely and smelt nice, but it didnât get rid of my long set dirt and traffic sadly. I donât exactly know what I was thinking to be honest, it is a dry chemical compound, I didnât put a spray down eitherâ¦All in all, I am going to buy a carpet cleaner, but I do not necessarily regret my decision buying this powder. I have learned that for what I want it wont do the job by itself, and who knows, maybe itâll work much better with a vinegar spray over the top and then the carpet cleaner run over it too.P.S – i also tried this on 3 different upholstery thingos – couch, lounge and 2 different types of chairs – didn’t see a difference 🙁

Amazing cleaner. I did right trusting the previous reviews. It works perfectly. Just be patient on older stains.

Capture Carpet Cleaner works miraculously on small as well as larger areas in between regular commercial carpet cleanings. Easy to apply and vacuum up in less than an hour. Completely removes even those stubborn tough spots. On my third order, and as long as itâs available, would never use anything else.
