Why didn’t I get these before?!
I have the whisks, the cookie paddles and the dough hook and thought that was fine. Husband convinced me to get these for cake. Man! Do they make a difference! If you’re like me, wondering if you really need cake paddles when you have the others, YES, the answer is, you need these.PS: I absolutely love the Bosch Mixer!

The cake paddles are perfect! I don’t like to use more than one type of paddle when baking, so I use these to cream (softened) butter and sugar when I bake cakes. They work as well as the cookie paddles, the tool Bosch recommends, but only do it for about 90 seconds instead of 2 minutes. The cakes I’ve made are very light and airy and the extra air the paddles bring in are the reason. I love them and my mixer overall!

    Works great, wife loves them
These work great for cakes and cookie batter. The one thing I don’t personally like about them is that they are made of plastic. You are warned not to use cold butter when mixing because they could break. Other than that, perfect.

    much better than wire whips
surprised Bosch didn’t include these in the package we bought many years ago. If we had known the difference they make in mixing we would have bought them then. Expected Bosch to include in their mixer packages the best/most universal accessories for what they cost.

Plastic attachments are the worst. Broke after a year of use.
This is my second purchase for these cake paddles that we bought back on 11/22 so its been about a year since my last replacement. The first paddles lasted about the same amount of time. These things suck and the plastic design is a terrible idea to combine with a mixer that has such a powerful motor. You can’t make frostings or cookie batter in the mixer without putting a lot of strain on the tines of the plastic paddles. Eventually they wear out and break from heating up and cooling down with the friction created while mixing and cleaning with washing detergents. You can tell when they are about to go because they start emitting a shrill squeaking noise before breaking. You can slow the breakdown by using a drop of oil on the tines to create a way to lessen the heat build up while mixxing. I’m convinced this is Bosch’s method of milking their customers on an annual basis for more money, because every plastic attachments we’ve owned has sheared off at the tines within a year or two of having them. If they would just make the parts out of metal we wouldn’t have these issues. The worst part is that they don’t even offer any metal alternatives for these types of mixing paddles. If there’s an alternative I would switch to it in a minute.

I love how easily they clean. They are super sturdy and are strong enough to stand up to cookie batter
