Limited software but still nice
For those on the edge of deciding and get annoyed with long youtube videos. The combo bin is not so automatic. The liquid keeps seeping so you have to put the right amount or pour it out for later. The combo bin cant self empty the dirt I understand why but thats why its annoying I didnt know I have to be less lazy. The mopping does not put much pressure on the pad and it leaves streaks. It also cant detect carpets you would need to close the doors or barricade the area to block it (can also use smart map to select which rooms to go into)I choose the model because I felt the 800$+ was too pricey for basically the same hardware and thought it was odd why it such a huge price difference. Turns out the software is the major limiting factor to the point I kinda wish I paid attention and tried a different brand the software is more asvanced and they up the price alot more of similar hardware. This robo cant detect if it eating a cord, it will detect an actual jam but if something get stuck just right it will keep working and damaging it self unless we hear a weird soubd coming from it we will check it.Sometimes it cant make it out of it home base because the base signal catches it after a minute of leaving and it will go home when you choose option “vacuumed everywhere” it can reach. If you have a smart map then it will get out of home base area no problems (software limitations). It struggles to get home for some odd reasons it will literally bounce around your house till the battery dies trying to go home ð¥º poor thing.( 1 out of 8 times it will have troubles).10 years ago you can slip a micro sd card into devices that can hold 128MB but now the roomba in this future can ONLY HOLD ONE SMART MAP! I do not know how much data it holds but I find this so BS. I am more then happy to download a back up of my smartmap of my house on to my cell but you are not allowed too, I search online to try to find away but you cant.The vacume everywhere it can reach, litterly means it will bounce around the house and when it thinks it got everywhere it will go home. It very inefficient but great for if you got a room that always closed off, then let it go ham in there without messing up your smart map since you can have only one map anyway. (I think you can still map multiple floors with one smart map)Keep in mind this version wont detect obects like clothings, cords, pets kamadoodoo, the more expensive version can. If something hard enoug hits the bumper it will work around it.I do love how it can go over thicc cables and about 1/2 straight edge bump not rounded at all. It gets stuck sometimes but it will get it self out.My kitchen have cabinets that stick out the edge the roomba is just a lil too tall but it knows it can get under it using it edge and spinning brush. It will turn right then left go straight a inch then turn right then left, it keeps doing that till it gets all of the edges in the kitchen, that was amazing for me. It even bumped it self around new objects and try to get it edge brush as close as it can, if it stop spinning then it will back off furtner so it can keep spinning freely around the edges.I find it weird when it boops it self hard enough it shuts down for a few seconds and then continues on like it got dazed lol.Wish you could tell it to keep the led lights on we like to have dark rooms and we save money by not leaving lights on but you can hear it but can’t see it stucked under your bed unless you got a flash light. It will function in the dark too.All in all i do like this lil thing alot when it near the end of it life span I will be looking for ones that can auto mop like the higher ends roombas and hopefully better software and better control. Honestly they should let me hook up a bloody joy stick and let me control it as needed.Edit: didnt know I can only upload one vid. It doing that right keft thing right left along the edge. It knows about the stove and just went striaght.The photo shows that I do have a rounded edge never paid that much attention to it but it can hop it just fine.

Not happy as of now.
Iâm an electronics engineer ! I programmed cleaning perimeters and no matter what setting I try robot always tries to clean entire house . Even when I select just kitchen it will mop it and then start on house which is carpet . May send this one back and get a shark. Iâve watched many u tube videos and seems this is a huge problem with I robot

Works okay but needs more maintenance
We are a few months into owning this unit and are not entirely satisfied. Seems to have more docking issues than ever despite our constant maintenance of the unit. The mopping is a plus but not sure that it actually does very much. I like the app and ease of use from there. When it does work seamless, it does a great job. I like the self emptying function but doesn’t always work because of the docking issues.

Maps your rooms , sometimes it gets lost or stuck, cleans carpet and hard wood floors, makes keeping floors easier to clean. Can set a schedule for time of day/ night and room! Love it!

Fragile
I’ve gone through 2 of these in 5 years. My cat killed the first one, the bracket that holds the roller brushes broke was pulled out by my 36″ long, 25 lbs cat.My second one also suffered from the same roller brush bracket failure.It’s curious how that’s the one part not in the replacement parts inventory is the roller brush bracket ð¤

My last one died after 10 years. Replaced it with this one. Works wonderful.
