Bottom line:• This is NOT a home vacuum and is not powerful enough to replace those Hoovers or Dysons or Whatevers that are very very strong and have gadgets and many power nozzles etc. This is not that type of vacuum.• It is a light duty vacuum to clean areas that you don’t want to drag your “real” vacuum to clean.• I clean up dog hair, sand, lint dust, dirt and even small leaves from my car, dust and cobwebs from the house. It works fine for all that.Comments:(1 ) Car use: I use it to vacuum my car and it picks up all the dust, dog-hair and lasts long enough to slowly vacuum the entire car –and then some.(2) Home use: In the house I use it on several throw-rugs that are not the highest quality and that would be torn up if I used our “real” vacuum on them. Also use it to vacuum the tops of china closets and ceiling corners of closets. For the floor, even with the floor attachment pipe I get enough suction to do a good job on those areas.(3) Battery: I am getting about 20 minutes or so –I have not really checked, but only once did it die on me –when I had not charged it after doing the car and then did my den and then started on the throw rugs in the foyer. . .(4) Attachments: there are several attachments and they all work well. The dog hair attachment actually does seem to get more of the dog hair than the regular attachment!(5) Cleaning: So far very easy to clean. Open the side compartment and dump. No normally-replaceable filters. (Maybe I have one to wash –probably need to check that ;-)(6) Charging: It has a charging base and a light to show that it is charging. I did not track the time but seemed to be charged in an hour or so, perhaps more, but that’s my impression without closely timing it.Overall:It has the suction to clean well, the battery life to get through any one job completely (and a bit more), and has a suitable set of attachments to make the job easier.No bags means less hassle –and the dust compartment is easy to empty and big enough for anyone who does not live in a really messy place!I am happy I bought this and completely recommend it.

It’s really easy to pick up and clean a small mess, even better than a dustpan.Pros- It’s got good suction- The pet hair brush actually works, it loosens and sucks up hair from upholstery- The hose makes it much easier to use- The tools latch to the vacuum with a neat systemCons- Very loud- The wand doesn’t use the same latching mechanism, it’s definitely an after-thought- Dust cup is a little clumsy to empty, you need lots of space above your garbage can.

It holds a good long charge and when finish I just set it on the charging dock so it’s always ready to use. Trust me , if you purchase this, you’ll be very happy.

It recharges quickly, and holds enough charge for me to vacuum our entire 500 square foot cabin throughly and since we heat with wood and have a dog, it gets really dirty. The dirt cup doesn’t hold a lot but it’s easy to empty so no big deal. The pet hair attachment works great too. My only dissatisfaction is that where the components click together to hold the nozzle to the handle for the stick vacuum configuration is not strong enough. It slips off after a few moments. However I can deal with that and just hold the canister to vacuum. It’s not that heavy.

Despite some negative comments here and on the web, I am actually quite happy with it. Let’s break it down how this product scores:Usage: It is a very portable device, with a very useful flexible hose. It’s meant for those few minutes clean up job so do not expect it to have suction power like a corded vacuum. It work very well for the purpose it is made for.Worthiness : It is rather pricey compared to the lower end B&D 12v (FHV1200) which sells for half the price (USD 55). But what u get here is more powerful suction (pls see below for suction review) + a longer operation time (15mins). You also get more accessories, however I have the feeling I won’t be using the floor tool so it’s up to individual usage preference.Suction: Do not rate it via the voltage power and expect the 20v version to have 60% more power than the 12v version, the suction power do not go up with the voltage ratings. I do not own the 12v model but I have tried it in the local shop, my guess is that the 20v version get 25-30% more suction power than the 12v model, or less… I cannot really gauge.Will I recommend it? : Yes if you want the longer running operational time and you need the floor tool, and you want the best suction . No if you want to just vacuum a small area that can be done within 10 mins and you do not need the floor tool. The 12v one at half the price is better value if you do not need these extras features which is really not that crucial to get the cleaning job done.Also pls note that the charging time for the 20v is 4-6 hrs, while the 12v is like 12 hrs or so … therefore, if u use it once a day the 12v model will not be a problem.What I do not like: It is noisy (noisier than my corded Bosch), the brush and the inlet to the vacuum is too far apart making it quite ineffective in cleaning, the suction power drops when the floor tool with extended tube is used.
