It was easy to install. Dyson has an instruction video. It has been a couple weeks It is charging and working fine so far.

Fails after 30 seconds of use.
I let the battery charge for 24 hours. After installing the battery I turn on the Dyson vacuum and it only runs for 20 seconds or less before powering off and indicating the need for an additional charge. If I wait 10 secs it operates again. It seems this batter is overheating and triggering a shutdown. Terrible product do not purchase

Fits my older Dyson V6 Animal and Wall Charging Port perfectly
This fit my older Dyson V6 Animal cordless vacuum cleaner perfectly. It also fits into the wall port or wall charging station just like the original battery that came with the vacuum. It seems to hold a charge as expected. If it continues to do so I think itâs a great battery for the price â Iâve only used it for a few weeks. I would recommend.

Works as a great replacement
This is the second replacement battery that I have bought. The first one lasted about 2 years. Much cheaper than throwing the vacuum away. Easy to install and works just as good.

Lasted 17 Months + Some Hints For You
I bought this in Feb 2023 and now in Dec 2024 it does not hold much of a charge. I guess that is pretty good since we use it almost every day for the hair of 4 dogs!Some reviews complain that it does not dock well or gets stuck, I find that to be slightly true. Here is how to avoid it.1) when you dock it into the wall mounted docking station, keep the female receptacle at an angle until you see the blue charging light come on, the “close” it to the final mounting position. If the charging light does not come on, it is not inserted correctly and will get stuck once fully closed and it will not charge.2) when removing the stick from the docking station, open it to about 30-50 degree angle and give it a little karate chop to dislodge it from the docking station. That is because this battery does not fit exactly as well and smoothly as the original.I am buying a replacement today.
