It melted!
Doesnât work well on high pile carpet, everything else about it was absolutely amazing. I was actually excited about a vacuumâ¦ for two months.The brush roller stopped working so I took it apart to remove debris only to discover that the plastic holding the roller in place had melted and gotten sucked into the vacuum. I was shocked and deeply disappointed to see that my vacuum melted.

Vacuuming sucks in general (no pun intended) but this is a great vaccum. We had an old ~15 year old Dyson that finally bit the dust (pun intended) and after reading the reviews on this vs the Dyson Animal we decided to give the Bissell a shot since it was a fraction of the price and light enough for the kids to lug around. It doesn’t disappoint! I love the fluid swivel motion (can you tell I’m over 40? Only 40+ year olds would appreciate that feature so you don’t throw out your back!) and the ability to turn the carpet brush on and off with the flip of a switch. Give it a try if you’re looking for an afforable vacuum to conquer pet hair and keep the dust down.

My daughter has a cat with short hair and a dog with long hair that sheds amazing amounts of fur. The vac that she was using was just not up to the job so I googled ” best vacuum for pet hair ” and this Bissell Cleanview Allergen Pet, model 2849 popped up. I read some reviews, bought it online and took delivery in 2 days. When I tried it at her place, we were both very pleased. It’s a great piece of equipment. ‘

Very good product. Only issue, after a month the hand-held brush roller defective. Had to take it apart to see it melted at sides which is a roller issue with any Bissel product.

I used to have a Hoover and thought they were the best vacuum and now that Iâve owned this Bissell vacuum Iâve changed my mind. It has great suction and itâs so easy to maneuver around as it swivels. Itâs also not too heavy. I love that you can easily take the hose off the top to get to small areas. Everything is very simple to figure out. The hepa filter really helps reduce dust and allergens. The only thing I dislike about this vacuum is the fact it doesnât have an auto rewind power cord.
