The Bissell flagship does not disappoint!
This is Bissell’s top-tier commercial upright vacuum. It is not for the faint of heart. It’s probably not something you’ll buy to clean your apartment. This is a vacuum you’ll buy if you’re in the business of cleaning – if you do Janitorial work, or Hospitality, or just have lots of large spaces to clean. It is, quite simply, the best vacuum cleaner available today.First thing to understand, this is a BAGGED vacuum. This means that it doesn’t have some kind of canister you dump in the trash. It has filtration bags inside, and you let the bag fill up, and then you remove the bag and dispose of it and put a new bag in.How you feel about this is up to you. Personally, I prefer bagged, because although you have to buy replacement bags, they are much cleaner to deal with. With a bagged vacuum, you slip the bag out, fold it over, and dispose. Easy and clean. With my canister vacuum, I have to bang the thing out over a garbage can, and there’s still debris stuck in there so I have to bang harder. It just doesn’t feel as clean. Don’t get me wrong – I love my Bissell Cleanview canister vac, but the bagged vacuum is just a higher level of clean. I also find filtration bags to blow out cleaner air. You have the bag filtering the air, and then this unit has a pre-motor filter, AND a HEPA filter, so you’re really getting maximum filtration and clean air out of this thing.Next thing to know is that this is a wider-format unit. The pickup width is 18 inches – that’s much wider than a normal vacuum. So again this is more suitable for larger spaces or heavier use, it’s not your mother’s vacuum by any means.The attachment setup is ingenious. You don’t have to bend over. You just reach down and pull and you’ve got the extension wand in your hand ready for tight spaces or high-level cleaning. It is super easy to use and genuinely a joy to operate.Bissell has a wide variety of vacuums for different uses, but this is definitely the flagship. I am so grateful that Amazon has chosen to carry this, and was excited to be able to buy it! It is already making my cleaning life so much better, and I will be buying at least a few more of these as time goes on. Buy with confidence!
