I love it
I bought this to replace my old stick vacuum that was strictly for hard floors and my canister vacuum that has something wrong with it and is so loud I get a migraine every time I use it. My old stick vacuum was held together with duct tape and decided it was time. I love this vacuum. It picks up great on both hard floors and carpets. I have 4 cats and it picks up the hair great. Our house is all hard floors except the bedrooms and an area rug in the family room. I love the long power cord on this. I can do the sunroom, kitchen, family room and both hallways without unplugging. I would have to move the plug 6 times with my old stick vacuum. Other than the bedrooms, the only area I can’t reach is the laundry room , which is where the litter boxes are, and I just keep the old stick vacuum there to clean up the litter and not get any of that in my new vacuum. The 2 main complaints I read in the reviews are 1, the top heaviness. And it is top heavy. The first time I used it I thought, I’m not sure I like this, and thought I might send it back. But after using it, I got used to it and all the other things I like about it over rode that. If you have strength or mobility issues, this is probably not for you. I tell myself I’m getting a good workout when I use it ð. The second complaint was that it will not stand up on its own. This doesn’t bother me at all because my last stick vacuum, that I’ve had for probably 8 years, wouldn’t either, so I’m used to it. I just lay it down on the floor when I need 2 hands. Not a deal breaker for me. I find I’m vacuuming more because I don’t dread it like I used to. Oh, and it’s quiet. Compared to my stick vacuum and my super loud cannister vacuum, it’s low volume. So much so, that my cats, who would run at the sight of me just bringing out either of the 2 other vacs, will stay in place while I’m vacuuming until I get too close to them. Emptying the container is easy and getting it back is easy once you learn the trick, need to press the release button while putting it back. The canister is on the small side so needs to be emptied often, but now that I vacuum more, not as much as I did in the beginning. And it is a stick vacuum, you can’t expect it to be as large as a regular vacuum. So overall I love this vacuum.

Bissell Corded PowerGlide Pet Slim Vacumn
Itâs been about a month so here is my review. I searched and searched for a corded stick vacuum on Amazon and other websites. I came across a Shark corded stick and was really tempted to buy it. But at the last minute this one appeared. Sure, it was close to Black Friday and the Shark stick vacuum was $40.00 cheaper. But I said I would try this Bissell and because a tiny profit benefits needy animals. I wanted a stick because I wanted a vacuum I could use right out of the box, no charging necessary. The Bissell is built well. My husband says not to treat the vacuum so roughly. Honestly I so sometimes. The cord is extra long and I donât have to plug and unplug when going from room to room. It is light and maneuverable, it doesnât stand on itâs own, it transitions well from carpet to wooden floor. And the suction is GREAT! We have two adult dogs that live indoors and shed hair that sticks to carpet like needles in a haystack! This Bissell gobbles it all up. Yes, you need to go over the same spot a few times, so what. The dirt cup is adequate. On a dirty day I empty about two times. Yes, it took this old lady a few times to open the dirt cup take it apart to empty. If all else fails READ the DIRECTIONS. LOL. I clean the sponge and filter inside the cup on a need to do basis. I use hot water and no soap. It always amazes me how much dirt and gunk the tiny sponge filter holds. I have rinsed with only hot water the cup and other components inside the cup. No problem. I so far have not had hair stick to the roller. Maybe just a tiny bit. Yes, it does make some squeaky noise from the plastic wheels but I donât care about that. I also bought the extended warranty. Itâs only a few dollars and I believe worth it. All in all I am satisfied with this purchase.

Doesnât stand up
I am a Bissell FAN, and I wanted a simple vacuum for the ceramic floors and area rugs, had a Crosswave Pet for several years but didnât like having to take it apart each time to clean, so when it finally stopped working I settled for this dry stick vacuum and a spin mop. That being said, WHY would you make a vacuum THAT DOES NOT STAND UP, I mean thereâs no way to have it stand, you have to lay the vacuum down or prop it on something when you have to stop to move a chair or something then resume vacuuming which is stupid. The vacuum comes with a wall hanger and it hangs flat against the wall, which is fine. It operates great, good suction, easy to empty, lightweight easy to maneuver, I opted for the corded version which has a long cord, the tools are useful for crevices, my only complaint is itâs made not to stand upright. Overall itâs a good stick vacuum for the money for sure, hopefully theyâll figure out how to add a compression mechanism so that the vacuum can stand and be stored upright when not in use.
