Works great
Replaced swelled battery that would only run 15 minutes with this battery. This one ran YouTube videos for about 5 hours before shutting down. Fit was good. Be patient bending the power plug wires to get a good alignment with the socket. I would suggest completely removing the track pad ribbon cable. I left mine connected to the track pad end. I thought it was adequately bent out of the way. When I was fit checking the new battery the adhesive on the ribbon cable stuck to the battery and broke the end of the ribbon cable. All my fault, but something to watch out for. New cable and all good now.

Great at first look but â¦
Great package and instruction sub par product. Glue didnât hold and the battery is loose but thatâs just a minor thing compared to the battery acting just like the one I just replaced. At first glance charge held up and on the 4th cycle it wonât hold charges anymore , also an app shows me itâs manufactured in 2015 so â¦Not sure if there are any actual good products out there â¦all review tell the same story.

Great value – good instructions and tools provided
I’m an old computer veteran, but more of a software person who is relatively handy with things like soldering and wiring. This battery is packaged well, and the instructions and video were top-notch, including little hints in the instructions, like ‘these two screws are shorter’, when you’re putting the ten screws in the back cover. My old battery was expanding – so much so that the back cover had a bulge in the middle, and the unit didn’t really sit totally flat on a table any more. Being that it had expanded, it was probably even tougher to take out than others would be – plus it’s an 8 year old machine. And that’s the toughest part of the whole process. Requires patience, a steady hand, and frankly, some nerve, to apply gentle pressure around such sensitive components. You need to provide rubbing alcohol and some way to drip it onto the paddle they send you (medicine dropper would be best, I hacked it with a spoon!). But you’re using the alcohol away from other components, the instructions tell you how to do it – it’s not as scary as it sounds. Took me about 60-75 minutes, flipped the machine back over, plugged it in for a few minutes, turned it on, and it was already charged past 50%. And the bulge in the back was gone. As a computer person, one thing I have to say is – TAKE GOOD BACKUPS before you do it! Murphy’s law says that if you have good backups, replacing the battery will go well. If you don’t, higher chances of failure. 🙂 But I highly recommend this product.

The capacity of the original battery in my MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) dropped significantly after reaching the max limit of cycle counts up to the point when it stopped holding the power and had to be replaced.Â This ASMARK Battery Replacement Kit includes the battery plus all tools required to have the work done except an adhesive remover (or alcohol) due to the transportation constrains.Â The whole replacement process took about 40 minutes. The provided instructions were quite comprehensive and straightforward. I used 70% Isopropyl Alcohol and Swabs (to clean up after the old battery removal) purchased at the Shoppers Drug Mart – worked well to detach the old battery. Just used a few drops and let it work for about a half a minute or so – no issues.Â The full charge capacity of the new battery is a bit over 7000 mAh and it provides a stable power. The charge lasts about 7-8 hours with an average use (browsing, email, photo editing, etc.). It took about 5 cycles to fully calibrate the battery to get the accurate battery level reading.Â Overall I am very satisfied with this battery. This battery comes with 2 years warranty. What is also important that the ASMARK team provides outstanding customer service. They had sent me a couple of emails suggesting some tips and recommendations for using the battery as well as offering any further assistance if needed – very professional.Â Glad I decided to use ASMARK battery for the replacement.

Excellent Quality, Outstanding Video Instructions
Great quality Macbook battery; comes with complete kit of tools/items for smooth installation. Excellent, clear, thorough video instructions make it very easy and straightforward step-by-step sequence to open, remove the old battery, and to reinstall new battery. Total time including watching the video first, and then again while carefully doing the actual installation, the whole process took only about 1 1/4 hrs.
