dirty spots on high traffic areas of berber carpet
Wow!! my 13 year old Berber carpet had dirty discolored areas in high traffic areas that are now ckean as new thanks to Arm & Hammer carpet cleaner. I don’t have pets and don’t wear shoes in the house. Still over 13 years there were 3 high traffic areas that were showing dirt & discoloration. You have to be very careful with Berber or it snags, soaks up water and can even sour due to high density weave. I used my electric mop, which doesn’t have a brush, was very careful how much cleaning fluid I used but let the fabric cleaning pads rotate over the carpet with minimal cleaning fluid and the carpet came out fresh & clean in both appearance & scent. I saved myself the expense of having professional cleaners in to do a job that I may or may not have been satisfied with. I can’t say enough about this cleaner and won’t be caught without it.

The product is just OK
did not clean my rug as well as I expected which was not very dirty in the first place just a few stains

Underwhelmed
Having used other arm and hammer baking soda products I had high hopes for stain/odor removal when combined with an extraction steam vac. I even used an extra concentrated amount of the solution to tackle some particularly nasty urine stains from pets and was fairly disappointed with the results. The faint outline of stains remained even after multiple passes, and the odor elimination/absorption effect ended up blending the smell of urine and the faint smell of the cleaning solution. I would have preferred an overpowering cleaner smell to the blend, honestly. I think we’ll be trying something more “industrial” next time around.

Takes out stains that other solutions failed in the past.
This is a professional strength cleaning solution. You get a lot of it. And it will last you for a very long time because you only need to use a little bit per gallon of water per a cleaning.We have several rugs and carpeting in our house. We also have 3 very small children. And you know what that means, stuff all over the place, food all over the place, sticky stuff all over the place, etc etc.There are many stains on our carpeting. I have a carpet cleaning machine which I use. I have used several poducts before; Some were good, and some were not. This particular one from arm and hammer is pretty good, I gotta admit. Some stains which have been left over from previous tiles where I used different solutions, were removed by this solution. I was very happy to have removed more stains. I was also very happy that this had a quite pleasant smell.No, no machine will probably bring your carpeting to brand new status. However, this product from and and hammer, does come close.Worth a try. A great value.I hope that I was helpful in my information. Thank you.

I really liked Arm & Hammer Carpet Cleaner Professional Extractor Chemical, 64 oz. It worked really well. It worked to clean up after my puppy. I’m happy with this. I would definitely recommend this.

This did an excellent job and removed some stains that I thought were completely set in!Very nice scent – not overwhelming – and it’s also good with pet stains/odors.I’ll happily continue to use this to keep my carpets looking fresh!

Not Aggressive at Spot Removal
My kids and I will occasionally leave a spot on the basement carpet. Therefore, I was happy to give this Arm&Hammer carpet cleaning solution a try. I loaded up my Hoover carpet cleaner with tap hot water and set to removing spots, and it was sorta OK on some, but even pouring pure cleaner on the spot would not budge the older onesâand donât get me started about how I got plumbers putty on my carpet. By comparison, Rug Doctor actually diminished some older spots quite a bit with the same technique. So, no to spot removal.Has for odor removal, we donât have pets downstairs, and the carpets arenât smellyâto me. The Arm&Hammer has a mild scent, and doesnât appear to be chemically harsh. If you just want a general cleaning without stubborn spots, it seems like it would be OK.
