The way it is designed it does not work, way too many restrictions, but with a hack saw you can make it work and then buy hose clamps and in my case a 25’ same type hose and a 1/2” female push and clamp on faucet connector so it can both fill and drain. I cut a piece of the grey plastic off the drain end of the suction bulb using it to connect the gravel cleaning tube and with hose clamps away you go!

Did okay with the 20gal tank. Not the best for sand clean up, I thought it would be smaller and a bit more delicate on the sand.

My new favorite tool, for to keep clean the aquarium.I attach all the tubes for a better and longer vacuum, spilling out the dirt water and sediments before algae appears; and then I replace with clean water, so avoids the monthly cleaning.Good set!!
