More trouble than it’s worth (for a 10-gallon tank)
My AQQA Fish Tank Cleaner arrived without any issues. It was packed well and came with 20 different parts for assembly and a user manual.First Impression:Holy parts batman. Unboxing this product was a bit overwhelming, and the provided manual offered zero guidance on how to assemble, with only pictures of the components and their corresponding cleaning modes. The only reference I had for assembly was a small diagram at the bottom of page 1 and the vendor’s online video (which only showcased the different modes and didnât show any assembly.) This frustrating experience made the initial setup far more complicated than expected.Did it clean?Unfortunately, the AQQA Fish Tank Cleaner did not perform as expected. The main reason I got this tank cleaner was it offered a ‘cleaning mode without water change’. I try to minimize partial water changes as much as possible, so I was excited for this featureâ¦but in the end it proved highly ineffective. All it did was kick up debris and muddy the water drastically. I was expecting the filter housing to circulate and suck up the debris, but the two filter sponges (one in the gravel cleaner and one in the filter housing) didnât catch anything but a few small pebble pieces. Perhaps I misunderstood the purpose of this mode. Maybe it was just meant to dislodge/clean the gravel before you do your water change.I also had an issue with gravel constantly getting stuck in the gravel cleaning tube. I had to keep switching the unit on and off to dislodge the blockage. The flow regulator wasnât any help either. On low setting it wouldnât pull the gravel up, but it also wouldnât dislodge the stuck gravel. I felt like the regulator only worked either on high or low, and nothing in betweenAfter my disappointing turn at the âcleaning mode without water changeâ I had to switch to the âcleaning mode when water intake and water drainingâ, which just ended up being a huge mess. The tube that drains the water popped off the device twice and drenched me and the surrounding area. I think this device is a bit too much for a 10-gallon tank due to its size and power capacity. In the end I didnât notice a difference in the cleanliness of my gravel/tank vs a basic siphon.

Pretty good.
easy to put together, good suction, and live multiple tips that swirl so you can place it in the tank at multiple angles.

I like the pump on this device.
Just remember to keep the pump submerged in water and in an angle. And keep it over the inside of the tank. May cause some splashing. But once you get use to it. It’s a good cleaning tool. Easy to assemble. Thank you.

Works great but cheap hose
The vacuum part itself works great but the hose is very cheap and low quality and doesn’t really stay on good. Additionally, the hose I received had a hole in it and was leaking water everywhere.

This one was delivered as a replacement for the defective one. It appears that the seller doesnât care about the customers at all. Gross ignorance.

If you like puzzles this is for you
For starters, it was a bit off as hose didnât fit tightly and who even knows if all there or what they all did. The manual is hardly one and just contains a list of photos alleging all things you can do. When three of us finally got it to work for a minute, that was it. It really wasnât sucking strongly and getting clogged or something. Hose comes off as other said and made a mess. Way more trouble than itâs worth for price point especially for smaller tanks. Hate doing returns but this thing just wasted my time.

Tank cleaner
I love that it has so many parts to help clean the fish tank and also can add water the only dislike is for long tanks itâs harder to clean with the handle and has to be a certain way to get it to pump water out.

good but not great
The ait bulb attachment worked for a wile then started pumping water the wrong directionmade a big mess as it pumped a coupl,e of gallons onto floor….can not get it to stop so plged it off… other wise works well
