it siphons water
So this syphons water so base 3 stars. ]Has a pump which is ok.Needs a flat bottom attachment for larger rock in my opinion. The round filter works ok.what i do not like is for the price it does not include a valve to stop the water. So you basically stuck pinching the tube just like a regular siphon.

This is a pretty cool siphon
I needed to replace a siphon that I’ve had for a few years and the ball has stopped being effective. I’m not a fan of the suck on the end of the hose thing so I’m looking forward to using this. I do want to mention a couple things the gravel cleaner accessory might not be a good idea if anyone has shrimp or small bottom dwelling fish because there is not screen inside. It has a boxy shape and I have heavily planted tanks with rock and driftwood plus I keep shrimp in all of my freshwater tanks. I was going to dedicate this one to my saltwater tanks because of the green color – a no brainer – but I think it will suck up too much sand with either end attachment. So, just know that the larger attachment is large and will suck stuff up, the other tip for cleaning has kind of a grated look and I think this will be fine for gravel but maybe not sand. I need to test it out and I’m doing that tonight.

this makes cleaning the tank fun even the kids are enjoying the fun we have cleaning the tank with this tool it a nice bang for your money and its easy to put together
