Machine is holding up and the filters hold a LOT!
We have two big cats. One of them a pure bred Siamese, which is supposed to be hypoallergenic. And we have a Morkie who never sheds even one hair. But the Siamese is a shredder. So we bought this for me because we all five of us sleep in the same room and same bed. It works great!Then we realized our Siamese was sneezing all day several times In a row, and smelling of litter… even in his ears. He’s a flinger. Very enthusiastic about covering his poo. Litter dust was everywhere including up his nose and I could smelled it in his ears. Yikes! Our other cat didn’t even bother to cover her business, so she wasn’t being bothered at all. We put two and two together and I began to worry about his respiratory system. So guess where the air purifier is now. You guessed it. The litter boxes are in our laundry room, so that pricy purifier sits in that doorway and when we changed the filters we could easily tell this purifier and it’s filter are doing their job very well. Sorry I don’t have photos to show you the results. Maybe next time I change it, if I remember. Oh and after several tries, we did find a litter that is about 50 less dusty than the old one that said it was 99.9 % dust free. Haha. Joke is on us. They all day that and we just kept buying it because everybody else’s does with no problem. My cat has sneezed one time since the change and the purifier is on duty. We are all much happier about that!

odor removal that lasts on the VOC/ Smoke model
the filter is about 2.5x more than a Levoit core 300 replacement odor filter. I’ve tried multiple Levoit odor removal air filters, both from amazon and off the shelf in retail stores. They all worked less than a 24 solid hours for effective odor removal. There filters last several months running non-stop with the same pet odors that killed the Levoit in under a day. They also are ACTUALLY HEPA level filters and can remove smoke and soot from candles which the Levoit core 300 cannot do (because it is not actually HEPA despite be sold as such)Ever extra penny spent on the Alen BreatheSmart 45i and it’s filters is money WELL spent unlike the Levoit which felt like I was just throwing money away.

Superior air, quality, and long lasting filter
I purchased the filter with the machine, the air purifier and I knew right off the bat. The quality of this filter was heavier than other filters Iâve used and add an air purifying machines. I was shocked at how the quality of the air in my apartment is with this air purifier. This filter is incredible at cleaning air. It gets everything out dust smoke smells from cooking and I was shocked at how long this filter lasted. It lasted me eight months and it kept the air quality for up to eight months at a very high quality. This is the only air filter I will use from now on it is pricey, compared to others, but I realize you get what you pay for. I highly recommend spend the money get the best you wonât regret. Filter does not last 9+ months
I do love this purifier and filter. No problem with how it works and it’s very easy to change the filters but…the reason I purchased was mainly the good reviews and the fact it says the filters last 9-12 months depending on the area it is in. So I figured with 4 cats and cleaning the filter monthly it would at least last about 8 months but unfortunately I’m only getting about 6. So around $13 a month for 1 filter if you break it down, still not too bad but do wish it would last longer….going to try in another location to see if it’s just the filter or the room it’s in.

This was the right filter for my momâs air filtration. I gave it 4 stars just because I find the price very expensive.
