Amazing amount of play time!
I got this as a replacement for my aging battery in my Wii U Gamepad. It had been running out in a couple of hours, very annoying when you’re in the middle of a game. I got this replacement in part due to its capacity, and WOW – I can play all evening now, and still have some charge left! And swapping it out was SO easy, my 11 yo granddaughter could have done it (with minor supervision). It fit perfectly, just rotated 90 degrees from the original battery – NB. It’s been in place for a week now, played daily, no issues. Totally recommended.

Excellent Wii U gamepad battery replacement
My Wii U Gamepad wouldn’t hold a charge for more than a minute or so, and so I had to keep my Gamepad plugged in to use it. That creates a huge hassle when trying to play Wii U games since I’m tethered to the charging cord.I bought this replacement to hopefully fix that. It wasn’t until I opened up the Gamepad to install this new battery that I saw that the cells inside the original battery had burst and so the plastic case of the OG battery was bulging, though the plastic was unbroken, so no leakage had occurred.This battery lasts forever compared to how long the battery lasted when my Wii U and Gamepad was new.It’s a great buy if you need a new Wii U Gamepad battery!

Double sized replacement
Easy replacement. Replaces original 1500 mAH Wii U battery & fits perfectly mounted horizontally. It may have arrived partially charged as it charged quickly. No comment yet on longevity. The included tiny screwdriver is a throw away & nearly useless. It’s too small to get any leverage on the very tight screws & was ruined in the process. Screws were finally removed with a larger handled micro Phillips screwdriver. Recommended.

3hs Max Brightness
After receiving the battery and charging it, I put the gamepad on full brightness and let the Bayonetta 2 opening play on a loop, it’s just a CG fight sequence. It lasted 3hrs before it hit full depletion. It could be my imagination but it seems like the battery level indicator stayed on the first and last battery lines (the 1st/4th lines) longer than the 2nd/3rd lines. Using the 3 hrs as reference, I would think that it would be about 45mins between when the battery level moves from one line to the next, but that didn’t feel like the case. I could be wrong about that but it doesn’t matter, 3hrs on full bright was good enough for me. The orange blinking light that starts up when you hit the 4th battery level line is annoying, so I put a tiny piece of black electrical tape over it (that blinking light was always a pain). I’ll update this review if performance drops like some people are claiming happened with theirs. 11/17/20

Simple installation
My OG WiiU battery went dead, replaced with this one, takes a charge, holds up after being boxed up for two months. Good investment.

Don’t Waste Your Time
I’m not sure if the problem has been ongoing since I don’t use my Wii U Gamepad often, but it’s been having issues. There are times where, even on a full charge, the battery starts at 1 bar, a flashing red battery light, and then dies 5 to 10 minutes later. Despite it “dying”, I’m still able to turn it on with the same issue mentioned previously. Sometimes I would unplug and plug my charger over and over and it could last longer, but if I were to plug it back in after doing that successfully, it goes back to 1 bar then dying. Re-connecting the battery to the gamepad only temporarily fixes this issue. I don’t want to keep the back piece off 24/7. If customer support could help me out I’d change my rating, but for now, please don’t waste your time on this. Talking about the 8000 mAh battery.

Gave my Wii U Gamepad new life
After a few years of owning the Wii U, the original battery in our Gamepad wouldn’t hold a charge for more than a few seconds. I opened the battery door cover to find it the original battery was very small (only 1500mAh). This battery is more than double the capacity of the original, and it came with a screwdriver to help access the battery compartment. Swapping it out was easy and the gamepad works great now!

Excelente baterÃa, de larga duración, claramente se nota la diferencia con la que viene de fabrica, he tenido varias sesiones de juego y no he tenido necesidad de cargarla de nuevo, se adapta muy bien al espacio de la baterÃa en el Wii U, fácil de instalar y lo mejor es que incluye la herramienta necesaria para hacer el cambio.
