I ordered these bags for a Stanley shopvac (SL18130) that is probably at least 15 years old. (Apparently, Stanley still makes this model, but the current version is redesigned from what I have.) Given the age of the shopvac, it is fortunate that I could find bags like this that did fit. The cardboard tab is an exact fit for the slot that positions it in the cannister, and the opening for the hose is the same diameter (1 1/4″). So those aspects were good. But the bag itself is huge. It is a tri-fold, and will only fit in the 5-gallon cannister if left folded. So I doubt that any section of the bag besides the middle part will collect any of the materials being vacuumed. The two sides beyond the folds will likely be pinched, with the folds impeding the flow of materials. The original bags were the same size as the cannister, and fit without folding. So while the bags will fit, you’ll probably fill them three times as fast as the original bags that were specifically designed for the vacuum. I primarily use the shopvac for vacuuming cars, so filling the bags quicker than before will not be a big issue. But if you are a serious hobbyist always vacuuming your workshop after projects, you likely will be frustrated at how little of these huge bags will actually be useable.
