This is my second time buying this filter which fits very well in the machine with ease of replacement. The filter does not affect the noise level of the machine. I could not get to do subscribe for 12 months but still, value for my money as it fits and works very well. You can see what a difference one year makes with the filters. In the first picture, one is the brand new filter replacement and the other I had for about 11 months although cleaned every two weeks thatâs what was in the air filtering and the filter indicator turned red in the second picture with the old filter. I am using prime to buy it and opted in to receive this replacement filter the next day, which was quick and efficient. In the third picture, the new replacement filter was installed, indication white and works very well, smells very fresh blowing through my bedroom. Needed it and will buy again.

I have the TP7A Air Purifier and Fan with Autoreact — So, there is a lot to say because I feel like buying an off brand can be not worth the time or hassle. Not the case here! I was not willing to spend $80 on one filter from the name brand’s website when I did my research into what type of filter it was and what would work overall. Here buying two for $60 was so much better! It was easy to install the new filter. I did have to reverse them because they originally didn’t click in. Didn’t know if that was actually due to the filters or just me not wanting to break them because I was being too cautious (not saying they are flimsy. all filters are fragile, and I didn’t want to damage them in case of returning them). However, after reversing them, fit in perfect. Easy as click, click, click. Turned on the purifier again. The filter still read as red and needing changed, but I got no error or anything alarming. I read from the manufacture’s website while doing my research beforehand to make sure you reset the filter after changing it by holding the ‘night mode – moon’ button for five seconds. The machine will count down and then give a check mark and go back to green. Like I said super simple.

Black soot everywhere, Dyson unit rejects the filter
The filter didnât fit correctly and the Dyson unit reports a âpurpleâ (maximum) level of dirty air entering the unit. When I opened the unit to inspect the filters I discovered a thick layer of black soot all over the Dyson unit. The inner carbon filter leaked a large volume of fine carbon dust into the Dyson unit, my hands and my floor. You can hear the carbon particles move like sand inside the carbon filter – this isnât normal for a carbon filter. Complete failure. Buy a better version of a 3rd party filter, or invest in the original Dyson version. Donât ruin your Dyson with this bad filter like I did.

The filter works as expected. I use my fan every night. I vacuum the filter monthly. I have to replace the filter once per year. I will start vacuuming the filter more often to see if that will extend the effectiveness since it is pricey to replace.

These filters appears for all intents and purposes to be identical to my Dyson OEM filters.I bought them because they are out if stock at Dyson, with no re-stock in sight.These TP04/DP04 fitted perfectly in our machine. No problems.However, the 2.5m, 10m ppm and air quality sensors all produce the worst possible reading. Switched back to the old OEM and the readings come back down.There is clearly something wrong with the sensory reading interface.This is something that should be addressed either by the manufacturer or by Amazon.We will keep them for a bit to see whether they are, in fact, working.If not we may have to return them.Follow up (2023.05.22)The sensors eventually returned to giving accurate readings and the filters appear to be functioning properly.As long as OEM is not available from Dyson, this is a good, less expensive, option for owners of fans like ours.
