Much heaver that my last vacuum stick from Ryobi. It lasted 6years of every day use. Now it is discontinued. It was great. But with this new one. The round canister with the filters that hold the dirt falls off often hitting the floor at time causing dirt you have just picked up to spill out. I use this on hard wood floors around 1900 sq. ft. I am presently looking for a new one at this time. Unsure if I am going to stay with the brand. First time we have been so disappointed in there product. And we have many many of there Ryobi items. No a happy customer with this vacuum.

I bought a Ryobi ONE kit about seven or so years ago. The drill, a 4″ circular saw, and something else. As an industrial tech teacher, after my experience, I bought drills for my woods class to use. They held up to the abuse without any of the drills going bad, only had maybe two batteries go bad over five years of class use.Since then I’ve gotten another drill with power screwdriver, a chain saw, a leaf blower, a weed trimmer, a 1 gallon vacuum cleaner, and now a floor vacuum. All the products have performed very well and with the 4 Ah batteries they all last very well. I bought the PBlSV717 vacuum kit without the battery as I already have four 4 Ah and two 2 Ah batteries. Better buy if you have the batteries. We bought the Ryobi because of past experience and the price versus a new regular vacuum. Our Shark had the sweeper motor fail and we were looking to a robot vacuum. Called to ask my daughter about their experience to find she and the son-in-law had already bought one for us for Christmas, giving it to us before, because we were looking to buy one. They got us the Dreame, because, having two of the top rated robots (upstairs and downstairs) and got us one like the one that worked the best.So I got a stick vacuum to do some tougher spaces for a robot and that we live in a place where we are for ever tracking in pine needles, leaves, and other stuff like that. I can sweep up the debris without having to run the robot all the time.I’ve only used the floor vac setup so far, which has worked well. I like that it has the power furniture sweeper attachment, the other basic attachments and that the rollers can be removed and cleaned if they get a lot of hair and such wound up in them, or even replace them.Compared to a normal vacuum it is light handling and can reach under most low tables and furniture better and does near as good, if not as good as the Shark it is replacing. Granted I’ll have to clean out the dirt container more often, but that’s hardly a challenge. It’s easy to remove and replace, similar to the old Shark, but on a smaller scale.Either way, I’m definitely happy with the vacuum for sure. I got it at a good price too, $235, currently $275, but still worth it at that price from what I’ve found. They also sell it with the battery.
