Not for long or thick hair
I used with waving lotion trying to create vintage waves but they got tangled in my hair, and didnt leave my hair with a noticeable curl. I naturally have wavy to curly hair and I returned them. And the stick is hard to place so that they stay put

These DO work!!
These are the ones! I watched a YouTube video where the poster used various no heat methods and the these were top performers, and I can see why.. With the right preparation, hair will curl beautifully and last until you wash. Our mothers, grandmother’s had it right 😉
