Poor suction
When I got this car vacuum, I was really looking forward to cleaning my husband’s car. His dashboard is covered in dust, floormats are covered in dirt and dead leaves, and I don’t even want to tell you about the cupholders. I plugged in the car vacuum and used it on the dashboard, floormats, and cupholders. Alas, I see no difference in the appearance of any of those locations in the car. This item lacks adequate suction for cleaning.Its only redeeming quality is that the power cord is extremely long, so if it actually worked I would be able to reach all the spots on my car while keeping it plugged in. But, unfortunately, it’s not useful to me without sufficient suction.I chose this product because it was by Illinois Glove Company, a U.S. brand whose website says they have been in business since 1919. But, the box this comes in is not branded with the company name, and the quality is disappointing.

The little vacuum that couldn’t
Mom of four boys here. This little vacuum took one look at my backseats and cried. I slapped on the ridiculously long hose to attach the “crack sucker” and plugged it into the outlet. It had a really great length power cord to make sure you could even get the third row, but we didn’t exactly make it that far.I started with the sand in the leather seats. I don’t know where the sand comes from, it’s just always there. This little vacuum, which I’ve named the elephant due to the goofy trunk, has a great sand-sucking ability.But once you hit the first piece of food shrapnel, things get rough.If your car is possibly a biohazard, this is not for you. If you would like to pick up sand or the occasional spill, this is more your speed.I do notice that after 10 minutes, the outlet plug is scorching hot, and the instructions say it shouldn’t be used for longer than thirty minutes at a time. I mean, how long does it take you to vacuum out your whole car?Things to know:Not for picking up food and it has a very small capacity.Does not charge so you can run it cord free. Must be plugged up to your “cigarette lighter outlet” in your car.You’re gonna get weird looks from your neighbors when they see you carrying that little vacuum with it’s long, wobbly hose.

Great for Road Trips
We keep this vacuum in the trunk. It comes in handy for road trips with the kids. It gets all the crumbs and is handy for the occasional spill!!
