Finally what I have been looking for!!!
I’m so pleased to have found a siphon with a more narrow tubing and clamp so the flow is slow and adjustable. The siphon works well and is conveniently small. The cap on the end does a great job filtering out gravel, you can stick the wand deep down into the gravel and suck out the gunk without worrying about clogging it with gravel. This is good quality. The extension tube attaches with a sturdy quick connect vs. Most siphon that give you a tiny piece of tubing to use to attach the two sides. This keeps it held together well without it falling off or bending.I’ve tried 4 siphon recently and this is by far my new favorite. I am using it on my 8 gallon nano and for minor cleanup in my 36 gallon deep tank and am very happy with it.I added this small filter basket to the end of the siphon hose (no attachment needed) and it caught all the large debris .. it also safely held some itty bitty fish fry that had made it through. I’m hoping to experiment with the setup between the siphon and filter to create a closed loop vacuum that will filter the water and then return it to the tank for quick siphon between water changes.

    Great for smal aquariums too
I have a low profile tank that I needed a cleaner for and because this is so small and streamlined it works perfect! It has an easy bulb design to get it started easily. It has various options for attachments and it has one that works great in the sand and substrate and can get behind rocks and in the nooks and crannies that bigger ones can’t reach. It’s lightweight and easy to store. It has clips for the waste bucket, so you don’t have to worry about it spilling everywhere..it was easy to assemble and has good instructions.. great buy !!

Pump is very low quality – unusable after two cleanings
Very disappointing product! Bought it as an additional fine cleaner. The pump is made of a very cheap not very elastic Plastik that Leads to it getting stuck and not working. Used it exactly twice and will now throw it away as it is useless. Do not buy!

    Easy and effective
I’ve needed a small siphon for some of my nano and fry tanks and my normal gravel vac just didn’t fit the bill. I got this because one: it was inexpensive and two: it looked like exactly what I needed to get into the little books and crannies that I’ve been getting some diatom algae in. Worked fantastic. Suction power was just right. I was able to clean the whole tank and only removed a little less than a gallon of water in the process. This is going to be a lifesaver when I’ve got tiny angelfish fry and need to clean up their tank. 10/10 even if it doesn’t last very long, I’ve already gotten enough value out of it at a single tank cleaning.

    It’s good…
I bought this for my 10-gal & 4-gal shrimp tank. After using it for a while, I went back to my old syphone cleaner.PROS:- I like the size (diameter) of the tube. It’s right size for my 4-gal.- Pump works great. I you get use to it, you can start sucking water after one squeeze.- Because of its size, it’s great for pin-point cleaning without losing a lot of water.CONS:- Not sure if the tip attachments are useful. When I use the mesh one, the suction power weakens too much. And the flat one, gets little powerful that I often have to stop to get stones off.- I couldn’t get use to the water control attachment. I now use my finger at the tip of tube (outlet).- For the first time, I sucked in few gravels which got stuck in the pump. Then the pump did not work any more. I could not remove the pump from tube and eventually I removed them using running water at the sink. After removing the gravel from the pump, it’s working, but I have to be careful not to suck in gravels.- The attachment that supposed to hold outlet tube in place was not so stable for me. I have to watch it often otherwise end up having wet carpet.I still use them for sucking up left over food in fish tanks. But for tank cleaning, I am going back to my old syphon cleaner.

Awesome for smaller tanks – lots of Betta fish
I may have a tendency to decide I need something, then shop around and order multiple options for the thing only to return all but the one that’s perfect. This is that one. This is higher quality than many others, smooth, clear, thickish but flexible tubing (you can see the gunk but you can wash it out – it doesn’t kink but it will uncoil – has a suction cup to keep it in the collection bucket (but I just use my kid to keep it in the bucket). Has a clamp to assist in starting the suction – has a high quality squeeze bulb, has the ability to adjust the length of the hard ended wand section that stays in the tank AND it has two different suction end pieces. The small grey filter wand that I was sure I wanted (and yes, it’s better than any of the competition) but also this tiny vacuum head that I didn’t initially see in the picture only in’s but that turns this into a veritable underwater poop vacuum- it’s AWESOME especially for small tanks. It churns up the poop and slows the suction so you have time to selectively search and remove poop while not sucking up rocks etc. it also allows you to skim scum off the top of the water, etc. it will then take a minute or two to suck out about half of my 2.5 gallon betta tanks. When I finish one I hold the wand up out of the water for a sec of two to suck up any last drips and then transfer the wand to the next tank. The suction keep going but there are no drips on the counter. I literally get all the Berta tanks done in minutes. It’s freaking awesome.

This does not work for fine sand and gravel in the main tank. All my sand was sucked up and away. If you have coarse gravel it would be fine. I like it for the head to reach crevices, and the area containing the pump and filters, where the classic suction vacuums can’t fit. It is nice to have the bulb to start the suction.

Would have expected this to last longer than a single use for the price. Doesn’t syphon anything. Disappointed.
