Works Great with Filters
This laboratory pump is perfect for drawing liquid through paper filters. I use it to pull the liquid through the strainers and filters I use to remove the yeast from homemade wine. It creates a perfect vacuume for any small tasks. I even used it with shirts in zip lock bags for space saving storage. It’s a bit noisy when running, it has an on/off switch

Dead after 31 days
Update Review: It just worked for 31 days, and now, there is not much suction power. Do not recommend it.Older Review: Small and Effective Suction. I got this for mild suction needed for my application, itâs low-noise and good suction, with a little vibration that I think is normal for suction it has, overall happy with the order. I will update my review if anything happensâ¦

Has a good vacuum pressure
This pump works really well on my büchner filter. Highly recommended.

This thing is weak!
Well, you get what you pay for I guess. This thing might work okay for following aqueous substances. But don’t get this if you are pulling anything oily through a filter with a small pore size.Plus the tubing was all kinked up on arrival.

Useless
It does pull air, but barely at all. For its stated purpose as a lab pump for vacuum filtrations, I found it completely useless. It simply has no power and was not different whatsoever than when I removed it, so it is no more effective than a simple gravity filtration which takes forever. Save your money and invest in a better pump because this is a waste of time and money.

Okay
Not as strong as needed.
Bobby –
not enough vacuum
The pump did not supply enough vacuum for removing the liquid. I returned it.

Won’t tear filters
If you use paper filters, you probably are well aware that a regular vacuum pump is a bit too much vacuum for even the fastest of papers to filter. This little guy here is essentially the opposite of that. Sort of a gentle persuasion, the kind you can set up and walk away from for a while, maybe set a timer so you don’t completely forget.I was ready to give this a thumbs down, but after spending a whole day with it, I sort of got used to the pace and as I said the only other powered pump I had was far too aggressive. Perhaps a portioning valve for the stronger pump would have made more sense, but it is quite loud. The true test will be in whether it survives many days of use like today.
