    Great product
So I have had this for maybe about 6 months now.It works really well. It’s better than a traditional mop and gets the floor far cleaner. I would rate a normal mop 6/10 in terms of cleaning and give this a 9/10Important to noteU will need to clean it regularly. Self clean is a about as useless as it sounds. It struggles with uneven surfaces so if your tiles or hard would floor have too much texture I would not recommend. But it’s excellent for normal tiles. If u have more than 1000sq feet do not buy the cordless the battery dies after about 25 mins. The corded will be a better overall experience. I have the cordless because my apparently is not that big.It has a noticeable weight when both tanks are full but it’s not bad.Overall I would say if love a spotless floor and and the ability to clean at any time of day get this.

Easy to use and maintain; effective cleaning performance
I couldn’t decide between the corded Hyrovac and the corded Bissell Crosswave until I saw a head-to-head comparison video of the two on Vacuum Wars. The key points that swayed my decision to the Hydrovac were the much easier filter cleaning, the easier self-cleaning, the better/smoother swivel action, and the fact that, despite less raw power, the effective cleaning ability was a draw between the two. Add to that the much lower price for the Hydrovac and the decision was easy.So far I’ve been very pleased with this. It’s easy to use, does a very nice job on tile floors, and is easy to maintain. The cons for me are mostly along the lines of build quality issues. For example, the filter holder is not all that sturdy, so you need to take care when opening it to not break the plastic tabs. But, I have two other Shark vacs, and while they both have some less than ideal build quality issues, neither has failed on me yet. So I’m hoping for an equally long life from this Hydrovac. You can use other cleaners in this provided they are low/no suds. The Shark cleaner works well, but it’s quite pricey. There are other equally good cleaners from Hoover, Bissell and commercial cleaners (such as Ludmark) that cost less per use and work just fine in the Hydrovac. You don’t want to use an acidic cleaner (such as vinegar) or any cleaner that has suds since those will damage the water pump in the Hydrovac. It’s well worth picking up a spare set of filters and rollers. While the roller gets pretty well cleaned in the self-clean cycle, it’s still worth giving it a good hand wash. Plus, it’s not recommended to store the machine with a wet roller or wet filter to prevent mold/mildew. If you have spares you can swap out the wet ones for dry ones, and let the wet ones air dry.The Hydrovac has cut down on my cleaning time without any decrease in how clean the floors get. That’s worth five stars in my book!

    No a satisfied customer
I purchased two of these at the end of September 2024. I bought one for myself and one for my granddaughter for a housewarming gift. A lady convinced me it that this was a great product. First of all you have to go slow to get the length of the roller to release the liquid to clean your floor. It’s not for stubborn floors that are taken care of on a weekly basis is. Any kind of food spill that may be missed when cooking sticks to the floor. This isn’t powerful enough to clean it up. I feel you should vacuum the floor first or you will get dirt particles, little stones, dust bunnies and etc. . I don’t like the idea of putting the used dirty water down my drain. The battery seems to be good. It’s seems to clean itself okay but the roller smells the next time you use it like a musky smell. I definitely don’t like that. The dirty water should be changed after every use. My granddaughter must have vacuumed up some type of meat or something and didn’t use for a couple of days and she found maggots. We are using the cleaner that’s supposed to be used as well. Not satisfied

    Loved it when it worked
EDIT: Shark did send a replacement body in response to the problem with the sprayer. I received that body in January. Last week the replacement did the exact same thing. This time around with telephone support it did not take the hours it did last time. So maybe I just hit them at a very bad time last time? Anyway, the representative said not to worry, they will send a replacement unit, not just the body. I received email confirmation before I hung up and all was swell…. Until the next day when I got the email saying that that had been canceled.Back on the phone with customer service. Again avery pleasant and shorter experience than last month. I was told by this one that the reason the order for the replacement was canceled was that the model was no longer made. Instead they would ship me an upgraded version. An email confirmation was sent before I hung up the phone but I was a little leery. Were they cancel it again the next day?I got a little confused later in the day when a second order confirmation was sent for the replacement. Even more so that when it shipped I received two separate tracking numbers. Sure enough, today I received two new units. These aren’t upgrades. They are identical units to the original that lasted almost 3 months, the second just shy of the month before having the same problems.Lest lightning strike me dead,of course I got back on the phone with customer service. I was told to just keep both units in case one went bad in a few months. That would save me the phone call for replacement. They don’t have a mechanism for returning a duplicate shipment. Trying to return it would trigger the shipping of a replacement unit for it .I guess the purpose of this edit is to put it out there in the cosmos that we are not trying to steal from Shark and we did try to do the right thing. Shark can always find us through their own records and reach out. We don’t need two so one of them is sitting unopened and it’s original box and shipping box just in case.Raising my stars from the earlier review because customer service was significantly better when the product failed this time. I hope very much that one of these units will get us at least till October when the warranty would have run originally. It really is a phenomenal product when it works. To original review———- I really did love this when I got it back on October. Did a great job on the floors and was easy to clean.Until now.It no longer dispenses from the clean water bottle to the brush. We ran all the troubleshooting from the Shark support page. Bottle was in working order with no cracks. When you push on the tip, water comes out. Brush spins. Suction works. No red indicator lights. It’s clearly something inside the unit.So you would think there would be some kind of support, right?Nope. Despite registering which means I have an account with shark, It won’t let me log in. it says my password is wrong and will not send me a password reset. thinking maybe I only hallucinated registering I tried to create my account today. Can’t do it because my Email is already registered to an account…. But when I click to ask for a password reset, no email is sent after several requests.Which starts several lengthy sessions of hold calling for support. Fun fact: your wait time is not an estimated ten minutes as per the recording, it’s a half hour minimum (3 calls). And when you do get to an agent whether or not you have an account is irrelevant. Because you have to start from scratch. Name, address, phone number, email, model number, serial number…. And then you have to switch to video conferencing To repeat all the trouble shooting you aready did.I made the mistake of trying to call before work. So I had to skip the video conference and call back again later. The second time I called. We made it all the way to the video conference…. only to have the telephone call dropped. That call duration was 45 minutes. So I call back, eventually an agent comes on the line, Start over…..AGAIN. This time we actually make it to the end of the video conference. And they finally believe me that there is a problem with the spray. The agent tells me that they will replace the body and that a new one will be shipped to me at some point in the next few weeks. There is no ticket number that I can refer to if I had to call back but an email will be sent to me within an hour confirming everything. No email was ever received. All told, I spent a little over two hours on the phone between 3 calls. Despite receiving all of their marketing emails since I did register back in october, apparently I am only good for marketing emails and not emails for support.I have no idea if i’m going to recieve a replacement unit or how long I should wait before spending irrational amounts of time waiting for an agent to start over….again.This product was a great product when it worked. I absolutely loved it. I hope I get the replacement as promised but Shark support is absolutely sub par and does not have me getting my hopes up.We used to be Bissel people. But we got tired of the products completely breaking down within hours after the warranty expiring. Is this shark cleaner – for our hard floors – was absolutely superior to anything we ever had from Bissell. But if it only works for a couple of months And getting support takes hours, and even then you still aren’t sure if they will make good on their warranty, you’re better off going with Bissell. At least you know it will survive its own warranty.
