You get a lot for a little
So, this is a no-phone app model and is less than smart. For the money, it is better than what it should be. That being said, I got a refurbished model because, with a dog and cat, I did not want to invest a big chunk of money in a potential chew toy.I am happy the dog and cat stay away from this. It works well. It picks up dirt on the edges, gets under beds and dressers, and finds its way around.It works best on hard floors. On Berber carpet, it is practical, on regular rug, it is pretty good, but eventually, you need a regular vacuum, which is typical for these devices when you have animals.If you want to dip your toe into this type of device, this is the one to go with. I am ready to upgrade…eventually. I am very satisfied.

S8 Pro – Overall, I LIKE IT
I bought the S8 Pro. Over all, I like it but there are a couple of cons.PRO: It does a good job vacuuming. We have carpet and we both were suffering from allergies. Using a standard vacuum hurts my back, so I wanted to try a budget priced robot to see if I would even like having a robot vacuum. I found out I do like it very much! I work in my home, and I let it run while I am working so cleaning the floors still allows me time to do other things that I would much rather do. I ran it twice a day for a week in the bedroom to see if it would reduce the allergens and sneezing and this model did a very good job! It got under the bed easily and after a week we were sneezing a whole lot less. I then started letting it work beyond that one room. I also let it mop my kitchen floor. The first attempt wasn’t terribly successful as it uses only water. The second time I tried it, I put water in the tank, but I sprayed cleaner on the dirty spots so that by the time the S8 Pro got to the dirt it was dissolved and ready to remove. The second attempt resulted in a clean hard floor.CON: It takes several hours to recharge and only runs about 45 minutes before it stops for needing a re-charge. The replacement parts are weirdly hard to find (and this type of machine needs certain parts swapped out regularly – like filters and brushes.Overall: I am still using mine and I do like it, but I keep thinking of other features I would love for it to have. I think this is an excellent STARTER machine so that you can discover the features you would really like to have on a more expensive model.

Super efficient!
After the first run the difference was impressive! I had been doing all the cleaning since my prior robot vacuum broke a wheel and needed to be recycled, so my apartment was pretty clean. However, the first run of this vacuum my allergies were better and everything just looked cleaner. LOVE IT!The primary setting is a back and fourth process, somewhat like a grid; so the vacuum methodically processes each area before moving to the next. It will also return to areas it has already cleaned if it has battery capacity. It has had no problems with my rugs, including hte one with fringe which surprised me.I do pick up off the floor any potential obstacles I can before I run it. I find robot vacuums often get caught up in chair legs, so dining chairs turn up on the dining table, my desk chair I put on my desk, trash bins get put on counters etc. Nearly all of my shelves/storage has 5 inches or more of clearance underneath specifically to aid in cleaning.I still haven’t used the mop function because the vacuum feature makes such a big difference I just haven’t felt I needed to as the vacuum is so efficient.

Two vacuums became inoperable within a year of usage
Initially the vacuum was working fine, but right after a (1) year warranty that it has the vacuum broke down.The first vacuum that i bought started to shut down unexpectedly and having issues with the battery charging. Then it would not be able to find base.Amazon customer service stepped in and completely understood the issue and helped to resolve it.Second vacuum received was not able to hold the charge. I would simply stay connected to its base without ability to move anywhere as the second it tries to move, the battery is completely discharged.Contacting the manufacturer customer service is just as terrible as the product itself. They dont pick up phones, and when they finally respond to your email, the answer would be is that they dont support they own product, not parts, replacement, or warranty claims can be done about it. No resolution offered or a simple solution to get the non working unit(s) repaired.Stay away from this company and their product and take your business elsewhere. My personal experience with them is below 0.

Great vacuum!
I finally caved in and got myself this vacuum for my apartment, and it is amazing! Itâs very quiet and subtle, but still picks up all the dirt on my floor. The mop feature is amazing for my hardwood floors too, and I love how I can set a schedule for when Iâm gone and then it just returns itself back to the charging station. Would definitely recommend, itâs very easy to use and works great!

When stuck does not send a alert sound
I do not like that will not announce that is stuck and stopped. It stopped before finish the room. The battery last only 55 minutes. Is a very quiet vacuum and very easy to empty, mopping is working well but stopped before the container empty completely. I do not know if Iâll keep it, will try a little longer.

Best Robot Cleaner
I have tried 2 others bot Roombas & was shocked that this one not only had the rubber & brushes on the roller but also mopped & the extras that came with this unit at a lower price were shocking. You may need to pick the unit up a max of 3 times to get it trained but then it will do the job. I loved it so much I ordered a second since my house has a lot of floor & 2 cats but I dont use the remotes I just go tap the button on top & they go to work . These units DO NOT get stuck. They also hold alot of trash b4 needing emptied. I would not attempt to even try a different unit. This is perfect & Im hard to please. Very quiet also.
