I have a 14 gallon Shop-Vac I bought a few years ago. This filter fits and I have not had any problems operating the Shop-Vac after installing it.

An awfully snug fit
It definitely fits my 12-gal Shop-Vac, but it’s a bit snug, and the rim that must fit over the vacuum and the twist-on cap is made of this soft rubbery material that makes it extremely grippy. I had to use a rubber mallet with a board to get it completely seated onto the vac, and once I got the lid on, there was no way I could twist it to lock it. I’m going to try a few things to make it a little more slippery. Perhaps rubbing dust on that rubber. If that doesn’t work, maybe oil, although I’m not thrilled with that solution. Who knows how the oil might react with the rubber? It’d be 100% better for me if that rim was simply a harder plastic.
