Update; u can even use it on ur leaves! Makes a great leaf blower!!If you want a machine that actually sucks up stuff this is for you. I use it as my regular vacuum cleaner for my house of 10 people. Its a must. Cleaning your car for passover? Its a must. I vacuum everything. The cobwebs, the kitchen floor. It can vacuum the leaves outside, and the dust in the chimney. One thing that we did that finally killed the machine was vaccum our bunny mess. Dont do that ð¤£. So happy with it we got another one and wont abuse it too much this time. This size bag lasts me like 3 months. I tried with a regular garbage bag. You CAN do that but it works funny with the filter and I think thats what broke the camels back in all honesty. Use the bags. Use it wherever you want.To suck up water i tried without a bag and it spits out water so not sure if i was just doing it wrong⦠but just my experience.

Awesome power
Initial unboxing is impressive. The attachments are rudimentary. The wheels are simple but work well and the unit is very light. The suction is nothing short of impressive. I donât have a long term view of the filter system or how it works wet, but dang, this thing sucks! In a good way.

Impressive ShopVac
I am rarely impressed, but this Stanley vac is just terrific. I bought it to clean out the ash/dust from several fireplaces in our new home. The vac is truly powerful and came almost ready to use out of the box. Took 5 mins and a small screwdriver to set up. Two helpful accessories to get right away: a good extension cord and several extra bags (because the one that comes with the vac will tear if you fill it up with anything heavy like rocks.

Jokes aside, its a pretty good vacuum. I’ve used it in my SUV, and on my rug that I powerwashed.Dry vac’d the SUV 8/10, only because the attachments were somewhat an inconvenience in easy to reach places, the hose personally seemed a little short maneuvering around the suv, especially the power cord into my extension cord. Though, the short cord was convenient when I needed to wrap it up and put away.Wet vac was great 8.5/10 as well with above “issues”. It doesn’t come with the Wet filter mentioned in the manual but still did the job and rinsing out the vac was not an issue. The wet suction attachment did seem to be a little too small but powerful nonetheless. The Golden Retriever hair sucked during the wet process was easily removed IN the vacuum and in the “filter” portion.For the price, suction power, and noise level, I’d recommend for sure. Any other issues, I’ll update as needed.

GOOD VAC..WAS MISSING A PART THO..-1 STAR
THE VAC CAME WITH ALL THE FILTERS REQUIRED BUT IT WAS MISSING THE ADAPTER TO USE THE DUST BAG INSIDE THE BARREL. THUS IT HAD TO LOSE 1 STAR FOR THAT BUT SINCE I RARELY USE THOSE BAGS IT WASNT A DEAL BREAKER…IT JUST SHOWS A LACK OF QUALITY CONTROL IN MY OPINION THAT A PART GOT MISSED. BUT ITS A NICE SHOP VAC AND IT DOES SUCK !!

Description is not correct, suction is “meh”
I was torn between one or two stars, but I was just so disappointed with this that I went with one.It looks like all of these reviews are for several different versions of Stanley vacuums. I bought the SL18199P – 12Gal, 6HP and attachments. I was looking for suction power. I have a Rigid Wet/Vac in my garage and I got tired of hauling it into the basement, so I figured I’d get something to leave in the basement. This, on paper, is exactly what I wanted.First, the description says “6HP Peak” in multiple places. It’s not. The vacuum and box very clearly state “5.5HP Peak”. It’s a small difference, but I paid for 6HP and I was looking for the most powerful vacuum I could get.Second, the suction is nowhere near what my Rigid vacuum gets. It looks like they tried to increase the suction velocity by using a smaller hose than every other wet/vac I’ve ever used. The hose on this vacuum is 1 7/8″ (a feature unique to Stanley, so you have to buy their hoses) versus the 2 1/2″ hoses on everybody else.In conclusion, if you can get this for a great price, it may handle your needs. I would consider this a very light duty wet/vac. It’s just not as good as the specs make it seem. I will be sending this one back and going to one of the home improvement stores and getting a grown-up vacuum.

Great shop vac, with good suction. No matter how dirty or gross, it cleans well! It gets the job done that’s for sure. Very tough, and can take a beating. Very satisfied!
